Heath Andrews has been a student of pop culture ever since he found himself to be the only student in 3rd grade who regularly watched "Get Smart" on Nick-At-Nite. Ever since then he's been engrossed in way too much media with a growing collection of music, books, comics, TV on DVD box sets, and a video game collection that could rival a brick and mortar store. Prior to writing for Nerdbot he's written for Review You, MyAnimeList, and various advertising companies. Since 2016 he's run his own YouTube channel under the moniker of The Critical Android where he livestreams video games and uploads podcasts about pop culture and Frasier.

When you hear about “Gotham Knights,” its more than likely in reference to the video game of the same name. In it, four members of the Bat-family team up to help restore order to Gotham in the wake of Batman’s death. They also hope to discover how Batman was killed and bring the killer to justice. Coincidentally, a completely unrelated television series of the same name, with a similar premise, has been developed for The CW. This Batman universe is seemingly unconnected to any others that we’ve seen on television, film, game, or print; picking and choosing elements it wants…

If there was one unequivocal bright spot for Warner Bros. Pictures in 2022, it was “The Batman.” The Matt Reeves-helmed film made around $770 million at the box office, and was well received by audiences and critics alike. It’s hard to bet against Batman, and WB knew that at the time. They went so far as to greenlight a spin-off series before the film even hit theaters. Colin Farrell’s take on The Penguin is really what did it. Early reactions to his makeup test, trailers and featurettes teased what could be with this version of Oswald Cobblepot. (Or as Farrell…

With a revival on the docket from Paramount+, and star Kelsey Grammer confirming other original cast members would not be returning, we’ve been curious about possible cast and storyline. Oh, Ezra Miller. There are few names in Hollywood that are so contentious while still actively being employed by a major studio. We’ve covered their controversies quite a bit, including accusations of burglary that took place in Vermont in May of 2022. Several bottles of alcohol were taken from the premises while the residents of the home were out. While Miller has other pending cases, this one has come to an end via a plea deal with the Bennington County Superior Criminal Court. If there’s one thing cinema has proven over time, it’s that people love drama. Whether it’s portrayed on the screen or featured off-screen, people love drama. These wrestling plotlines sure are full of twists and turns! Granted it’s all scripted but… wait this isn’t a script; this is the actual goings on in the executive offices of the company. Former WWE CEO and figurehead Vince McMahon announced his return as executive chairman of the board. While we assumed this would ruffle some feathers, it’s also had the effect of causing co-CEO Stephanie McMahon (Vince’s daughter) to resign her position, effective immediately. To call Vince McMahon a divisive figure would be an understatement. You can criticize him for everything from treatment of his wrestlers to inserting himself…

Filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola will go down in cinema history as one of Hollywood’s greatest directors. Along with “The Godfather” trilogy, Coppola also brought the world “Peggy Sue Got Married,” “Bram Stoker’s Dracula,” and “Apocalypse Now.” The latter of these is especially noteworthy for how it may be one of the most disastrous film shoots in history.Coppola’s latest film “Megalopolis” has long been in the works. His grand opus, the project was first floated in the 1980s with starts and stalls until 2019. While it seemed the film was finally picking up steam (as well as an impressive cast), things…
