Heath Andrews has been a student of pop culture ever since he found himself to be the only student in 3rd grade who regularly watched "Get Smart" on Nick-At-Nite. Ever since then he's been engrossed in way too much media with a growing collection of music, books, comics, TV on DVD box sets, and a video game collection that could rival a brick and mortar store. Prior to writing for Nerdbot he's written for Review You, MyAnimeList, and various advertising companies. Since 2016 he's run his own YouTube channel under the moniker of The Critical Android where he livestreams video games and uploads podcasts about pop culture and Frasier.

All of us at Nerdbot feel a sense of sorrow today as we’ve come to find out that Bruce Willis is stepping away from acting. We make it a point here not to report on baseless rumors, especially when they pertain to a person’s private life, but there had been rumblings for some time that Willis was experiencing some sort of health problems. There was speculation that one of the reasons he was taking on so many films in limited roles was to try and keep his mind and body active. This could explain why he was in seven movies…

Operation is a classic board game that is a nightmare if you have shaky hands and hate sudden loud noises. If you ask me, it’s the single most terrifying children’s game ever committed to a board. Despite the fact that it’s not intended to be scary, the idea of operating on a patient is scary enough in its own right; good thing the game doesn’t include malpractice lawsuits. But if you want even more of a challenge, and want to take the game on the go, Hasbro has you covered! Behold the world’s smallest, official version of Operation. Coming in…

Sometimes at Nerdbot, we like to bring you articles about weird products that you might want to own legitimately, or purchase as a kind of gag gift. For example, last year we discussed a shower faucet fixture in the shape of a pair of lips. We also did a piece about how Revolution makeup was teaming up with Post Cereals for a line of cosmetics that was inspired by Fruity Pebbles and Cocoa Pebbles. Given all this, I wasn’t entirely unsurprised when the idea of discussing a cat brush, shaped like a tongue and designed to be held in your…

Anyone who was wondering what Amazon was going to do with their acquisition of MGM now has an idea of what’s in store. Along with the purchase of the famed movie studio came the rights to the James Bond catalogue, which is about to add a competition reality show. Action junkies and thrill seekers who want to simulate the idea of being a super spy just might have that chance now. The upcoming show, “007’s Road to a Million” has been in development for years, but will officially be entering production later in 2022. Casting has already begun with pairs…

Since its release, I’ve sank over 130 hours into “Pokémon Legends: Arceus.” When you’re 36, have a full-time job, family obligations and a life in general- this is no small feat to accomplish. Something about “Arceus” drew me in though, HARD. Having played every mainline Pokémon game to completion since the series’ inception, I feel very safe in saying that I have not had this much fun with one of the games since the DS remakes of Pokémon Gold & Silver. While there’s the obvious change of the 3D environment, being able to catch Pokémon out in the open, etc,…

Leave it to Amazon to stir up controversy in their bid to dominate all forms of media. If you thought the realm of comic books and digital comics was at least one area they didn’t have their hands in, you’d be mistaken. Amazon has been owner of Comixology, a digital comic distribution service, since 2014. Flash forward eight years later- Amazon is pushing Comixology into greater integration with the company, leading to issues that are finally being addressed. Signs that problems would be ahead emerged shortly after the Amazon purchase when options to buy through the iPad and iPhone were…

This is why we can’t have nice things. All we wanted to have was a period drama that documented the life and times of Queen Elizabeth II. So, Netflix took some antiques, made replicas of valuable items, put them all together- made some real nice sets. Then what happens? Someone comes along and steals over $200,000 worth of those props. While it’s not exactly stealing the crown jewels out of the Tower of London, it’s still a royal heist…in a manner of speaking! We’ve been following “The Crown” for quite some time, and eagerly awaiting season 5 despite the extended…

“Is that a crossbow in your pants, or are you just happy to see me?” “It’s a crossbow.” No that’s not the start of a bizarre Mae West hunting movie, it’s just an imaginary exchange that could’ve actually taken place in Florida last month. Because of all the states in the union where someone would attempt that, of course it’s a Florida man. If you’re confused or trying to imagine what someone would look like with a crossbow in their pants, good news; we’ve got photo evidence! The theft itself took place in Mims, Florida back on January 22nd, but…
