As some of you may know James Earl Jones’s birthday is January 17th. Now James for most will always be the voice of Darth Vader and Mufasa. But as a theater nut I know him to be the father in Fences. You know the one that was made into a movie that was portrayed by Denzel Washington. And let me tell you that James Earl Jones got his start in the world of acting through theater. Check out his performance right here.

Impressive right? Now as most of you know he is the voice of Darth Vader. But as a fun tidbit of information when James Earl Jones was a guest star on The Big Bang Theory. It was his first time meeting Carrie Fisher face to face. It was reported that Carrie Fisher ran through the crowd when she saw him screaming at the top of her lungs with arms wide open enveloping him tight hug and yelled DADDY!

Well it’s no surprise that Mark Hamill took to social media to wish the best father in the galaxy a happy birthday.

Happy Birthday, Dad. Thank you for a lifetime of superb performances!@jamesearljones #NationalTreasure pic.twitter.com/aF97qEwxEM
