Frequent readers know we strive to do our best in providing you coverage of some of the weirdest flavor combinations we’ve ever seen. And believe us, we’ve seen a lot of them over the years; hell, we’ve even tried some of them ourselves. Remember pizza flavored ice cream? We do, and to be honest it wasn’t actually that bad. Now, don’t get us wrong, it wasn’t that great either, but it was still something that paired together better than you would think. We’re not sure if we’re going to be able to say the same thing about this latest combination that combines vodka with the flavor of pizza.

It would appear that the state of Rhode Island has been harboring a secret, and not in the lovecraftian sense for a change. ISCO, the Industrious Spirit Company, is a distillery located in the smallest state of the union and have brought to its community a vodka that is flavored with ingredients used for pizza. Namely, organic wheat, herbs, spices, tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. Distill all that down and what do you get? Pizza Strip Vodka. And if you don’t know how to feel about that, that’s quite all right because we’re not sure either.

ISCO describes the flavor as “weirdly comforting and undeniably delicious!” For all we know, maybe it is! In fairness, vodka is used with tomato juice to create a Bloody Mary, is pizza flavor too far of a cry from that? If you want to be experimental, at least it won’t set you back too much. A 375 ml bottle will set you back $19.99, which isn’t too bad, all things considered. Maybe it turns out that Rhode Island was hiding the best kept secret in spirits from the rest of the country. You can order it here.

At the very least, It has to be better than the Velveeta Mac and cheese martini, right?
