Police vehicles and animal control officers surrounded Linda Blair’s Southern California property Friday, July 31, 2026, creating a headline that quickly grabbed attention. Fans of The Exorcist immediately wondered why authorities had arrived at the legendary actress’s home. Officials executed an inspection warrant involving a reported kennel operation that housed more than 100 dogs.
According to Los Angeles County officials, investigators wanted to inspect the kennel, review permits, and check the animals’ living conditions. Authorities also said the kennel permits expired in 2023 after previous attempts to resolve the issue reportedly received no response.
