FX has just released the first trailer for Ryan Murphy’s newest 10-episode series “Grotesquerie.” It was written and created by Murphy, Jon Robin Baitz, and Joe Baken. Episode directors include Murphy, Max Winkler, Alexis Martin Woodall, and Elegance Bratton.

“Grotesquerie,” will be the acting debut of NFL star Travis Kelce, whose role is currently being kept under wraps. He will star alongside Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance, Lesley Manville, Micaela Diamond, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, and Raven Goodwin.

This murder mystery series will start where most do, with a series of heinous crimes in a small community. Detective Lois Tryon (Nash-Betts) thinks these crimes are eerily personal as if someone—or something—is taunting her. All while she grapples with a strained relationship with her daughter, a husband in long-term hospital care, and her own inner demons.

When the case runs out of leads she turns to Sister Megan (Diamond), a nun and journalist with the Catholic Guardian. Sister Megan, who is battling her own past, has seen the worst of humanity, yet still believes in its capacity for good. However, Lois fears the world is succumbing to evil. As the pair string together clues, they find themselves entangled in a sinister web that only seems to raise more questions than answers.

Murphy will also executive produce “Grotesquerie” with Woodall, Baitz, Baken, Winkler, Nash-Betts, Vance, Peter Liguori, Nissa Diederich, Eric Kovtun, and Scott Robertson.

“Grotesquerie,” premieres on September 25th on FX and streams the next day on Hulu. You can check out the first eerie trailer below:
