Harrison Ford Settles Indy vs. Han Solo Debate, Once and for All

There aren’t too many actors who play roles so iconic that they help shape pop culture, but Harrison Ford has managed to do it more than once. Fans have been asking which one of these characters who would win in a fight ever since.

Harrison Ford as Han Solo, “Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope” 20th Century Fox Lucasfilm

The first time Ford did it was as the wisecracking pilot, Han Solo in 1977’s “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope.” While Solo was always a reluctant hero, throughout the franchise he helped destroy two Death Stars. Helping the Rebels stop the Empire’s ever-widening reign of terror.

Lightning struck twice when Ford played archeologist Indiana Jones in 1981’s “Raiders of the Lost Ark.” With the help of Marion Ravenwood (Karen Allen) and Sallah (John Rhys Davies), Jones prevented the Ark of the covenant from falling into the wrong hands. All while doing his best to avoid snakes.

During a recent interview [Editor’s Note: probably one of the BEST we’ve read in sometime], Ford answered the age-old question, “Who would win in a fight: Han Solo or Indiana Jones?” And his answer is one of the most on-brand things we’ve ever read.

“Well, they usually ask me, ‘If there was a fight between Han Solo and Indiana Jones, who would fuckin’ win?’ And I say [voice rising, fingers drumming], ‘Me, asshole!,” Ford said. “I don’t want to fucking make shit up like that. I mean, what are you asking me that crap for?”

So who would win in a fight between Han Solo and Indiana Jones? Well, Harrison Ford of course! To be fair, the two are pretty evenly matched. I think Solo may already know all of Jones’ moves, and vice versa.

You can catch Ford NOT kicking his own ass in “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,” which hits theaters June 30th, 2023. Check out the action-packed trailer below:
