With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, many of us are reminded of the immortal words of the The J. Geils Band, “Love stinks, yeah, yeah.” An animal shelter in Hamilton, Ohio is taking this literally, and offering patrons smelly revenge on their ex’s.
For just a $5 donation, The Animal Friends Humane Society will write your ex’s name in a liter box and give it to the cats. To let them do what they do best, be tiny, adorable, little poop machines. Not only do you get to have a cute kitten literally shit on your ex, you’ll also get the warm fuzzy feeling of helping animals in need. Creating the pettiest win-win ever!
The Animal Friends Humane Society will be accepting donations from February 1st through February 12th. On Valentine’s Day, the shelter will post a video on Facebook showcasing all of the names they receive in the liter boxes.
For those that would like to participate, you can donate via Venmo, or the QR code below. They ask you to please put the name you would like written along with the poop emoji in the comments. But if you are local, they are also encouraging people to stop by in person to make a donation via cash or card, which will add your ex’s name to the jar.
Plus, that way you can see some cute adoptable animals. Maybe even give the kittens a pep talk before the big day.
