In season 4 of Netflix’s hit show “Stranger Things,” there is a scene where fan favorite Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) shreds to Metallica‘s classic “Master of Puppets.” This scene was immediately a cultural touchtone, and made “Stranger Things” somehow a bigger phenomenon than it already was.
The episode even got the song into the Billboard Top 100 for the 1st time ever, 36 years after its release.
Metallica was so impressed with Quinn’s performance, they even invited him to jam backstage at their Lollapalooza gig. It was later revealed bassist Robert Trujillo’s son Tye recorded the riff playing in the scene.
During the Funko Fair 2023, the pop culture collectibles company unveiled its newest addition to the “Deluxe Pop! Moment” series. The new Pop! shows Eddie with his guitar alongside Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), fighting the Demibats in the Upsidedown.
The Pop Vinyl measures roughly 13 ¼ inches tall, 18 inches wide, and 4 ¾ inches deep. It also comes in a window display box that is not able to open- meaning the figures cannot be removed. While the scene is so epic, keeping it in a case makes sense. We know some collectors aren’t fans of not being able to remove or reposition their figures. If you’re able to get your hands on these, or any of the other Stranger Things Pops, consider placing them in protectors. These pop protectors will shield your valuable Pop! Vinyl Figures from dust, scratches, and potential damage, preserving their mint condition and ensuring their long-term value. They are a must have for any passionate fan.
The Pop is currently available for pre-order from Entertainment Earth. Considering the last Eddie Munson Pop! sold out almost immediately, we’d suggest getting a pre-order in as soon as possible. It’s expected to ship in May 2023.
