I recently received some LaScoota scooters for my kids and myself thinking that they’d be just like any other scooter. I was pleasantly surprised when that was not the case. I remember Razor scooters from when I was a kid. They weren’t really made as well as I would have liked and tended to get dinged up if you played with them too roughly. Before hopping on the LaScoota scooter that I got, my memories made me nervous. Would I be able to still do it? It has been almost 20 years since I last rode one. Here’s how they held up! I should also add a disclaimer that I was sent these scooters for review.
The Metro Scooter for Adults
This scooter says it was built for the parent who wants to keep up with their kids. It definitely did help us keep up with our daughter. And I sent it to school with my husband who’s finishing up his master’s degree. Campus has never been easier to get across! This scooter has a weight limit of 180lbs but since we’re a little heavier we’re happy to say that it’s rideable beyond that. The Metro folds up with a slide button that releases the pin and comes with a backpack like strap for storage of for carrying when not in use. Check it out here.
The Pulse for Big Kids
The pulse has the same basic functions as the Metro but is smaller. This light weight kick scooter allows you to cruise with ease with its non-slip, weight absorbing, and has an extra wide deck that ensures a secure footing and comfortable ride. It is constructed with aluminum and steel, comfortable rubber handle, reliable brakes, and equipped with front suspension designed to withstand everyday use and abuse. The Sit and Scoot for Little Kids
The sit and scoot was an immediate hit with our 2 year old. She was happy to sit and to scoot. This one has a different function than the others with the handle bar. You can really only go straight and then lean when you want to go side to side. It’s not as free as the other two and that’s fine. You’re really only training the young ones to get their balance figured out before taking that seat off. And then when it’s off training them some more to find it whilst standing. As with all things when you ride your LaScoota please where the appropriate safety wear. A helmet and pads for the kids and at the very least a helmet for mom and dad.
