Netflix’s upcoming new horror series “Cabinet of Curiosities,” created and produced by Guillermo del Toro, has a new trailer. GdT brought us creeptastic movies like 2015’s “Crimson Peak” and the 2019 adaptation of the iconic children’s novel “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark,” among other classics like “Pan’s Labyrinth” and “Hellboy.”

“Cabinet of Curiosities” is an 8-episode anthology series where each episode will have a new cast that have to encounter all manner of unpleasant situations. The new trailer shows us everything from a hunted house, to a mysterious storage locker, and there is even a splash of body horror in the mix. All while del Toro does a Hitchcock-esque narration over the events on screen.

Each episode will also have a completely different director. Those attached include Jennifer Kent (“The Babadook”), Ana Lily Amirpour (“Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon”), Panos Cosmatos (“Mandy”), Catherine Hardwicke (“The Lost Boys” TV movie), Vincenzo Natali (“Cube”), Guillermo Navarro (“Hannibal” TV Series), David Prior (“The Empty Man”), and Keith Thomas (2022’s “Firestarter”). As you can see their works are all very different in style and tone, so there should be something to get under anyone’s skin.

But “Cabinet of Curiosities” talent isn’t just behind the camera. The cast already includes Geena Davis (“The Fly”), Kevin Keppy (“Smile”), Crispin Glover (“Smiley Face Killers”), and Eric André (“The Eric Andre Show”). Again showing a wide range of talent, many with past experience in horror movies/tv shows.

“Cabinet of Curiosities” will premiere on Netflix October 25th. They will release 2 episodes each day until October 29th. Making this a perfect digital countdown until Halloween or a great Halloween binge watch. How a viewer wants to receive their chills is totally up to them.
