“Evil Dead Burn” Trailer Is Here and It’s Already Nightmare Fuel

The first trailer for Evil Dead Burn has arrived, and it’s getting right down to business. The footage was first presented to CinemaCon attendees in Las Vegas on April 14. It gave audiences a first glimpse of the next chapter in the long-running horror franchise.

Evil Dead Burn is the third standalone film in the series, following Evil Dead (2013) and Evil Dead Rise (2023). It is the sixth film in the franchise overall. Sébastien Vaniček writes and directs this film. It is produced by Rob Tapert and series creator Sam Raimi. Vaniček was chosen after Raimi was impressed with his previous film, Infested (2023).

There wasn’t much left to the imagination in the CinemaCon footage.

The first sequence features a mother unloading a dishwasher filled with sharp silverware. She is interrupted by a knock on her door. It reveals an undead corpse with chopped fingers. A car headrest has sliced through her skull. The walking corpse then pushes a boy onto the dishwasher. It impales him full of cutlery. The corpse then jumps onto his chest. It drives the silverware even deeper. It’s the sort of stuff that you don’t forget quickly.

A green-band, shorter version of the teaser was playing in theaters ahead of Lee Cronin‘s The Mummy. Unlike the grisly CinemaCon clip, it gives a slightly more tempered sense of the film. Warner Bros. has it in store. The shorter version plays entirely in one shot. A blood-soaked Alice is trying to crawl away from danger. Snarling and hovering Deadites fling bodies around her like ragdolls.

The film features Souheila Yacoub (Dune: Part Two) alongside Hunter Doohan (Wednesday). It also features Luciane Buchanan (The Night Agent) and Tandi Wright (Pearl). Vaniček says he and Yacoub spent a lot of time discussing the story’s emotional core. The role is right for her. She is a former national-level professional gymnast.

Rob Tapert and Sam Raimi produce under the Ghost House Pictures imprint. Bruce Campbell and Evil Dead Rise director Lee Cronin are executive producers. Vaniček has been clear about his intended tone.

Speaking with Konbini, he said, “I told the studio that I wanted to make a nasty film, a film that hurts, from which you come away tested.”

Evil Dead Burn will be released in the US on July 10, 2026. Warner Bros. Pictures in North America will be releasing it. Sony Pictures releases it outside of North America.

Evil Dead Wrath, written and directed by Francis Galluppi (The Last Stop in Yuma County) will follow. It arrives in April 7, 2028. The franchise is definitely not loosening up anytime soon.
