Panda Express Bringing “Pandaoke” to Several Restaurants

Have you ever been to a Panda Express and thought to yourself, “What this place needs is karaoke?” No, of course you haven’t thought of that. That’s something no human being should rightly have the mental fortitude to think about. But we live in strange, dark times, and to either add to or alleviate that darkness, Panda Express will be bringing karaoke to four of its restaurants. Forgive us, it’s not karaoke, it’s “Pandaoke.”

Seriously though, Panda Express is promoting Pandaoke in celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month throughout May. As part of the festivities, four restaurants are going to be given a karaoke makeover to allow customers to eat, sing, and “create unforgettable memories with family and friends.” That statement is definitely true. For as anyone who has had the privilege of watching a loved one try to belt out “Take on Me” and think they can hit those high notes, those memories are indeed, unforgettable.

The first event will take place from May 9th to the 11th in Los Angeles, CA at the Panda Express at 2828 S Figueora St. If visitors head there between 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, they can expect to see a 7-foot-tall karaoke takeout box in which groups of 2-3 people can enter. Once there, they can pick a song and sing a 30 second segment of the piece. It’s recorded and emailed to the diners so they can cherish it forever. Or until everyone decides it should never see the light of day again and delete it.

The other dates and locations are as follows:

    • May 23rd to the 25th in Nashville, TN at 6601 Charlotte Pike
    • May 30th to June 1st in Chicago, IL at 2949 W Addison St
    • June 6th to June 8th in Austin, TX at 5764 Airport Blvd

Additionally, if you get there while supplies last and order a family meal, you can get a special, Panda Express portable karaoke machine. It’s the gift that keeps on giving! Happy dining and happy singing!
