Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson are teaming up once again on a new comedy series for Apple TV+. This currently untitled project will be coming from creator David West Read (“Schitt’s Creek”).

The Show will have McConaughey and Harrelson playing versions of themselves. As them, and their families, attempt to live together on McConaughey’s Texas ranch. Showing us all the ups and downs that come from living in a tight space with a friend.

Apple TV+ calls it “a heartfelt odd couple love story revolving around the strange and beautiful bond between Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson.” It is currently slated to run as ten, half-hour episodes. The two actors are not only friends in real life but have worked together several times before. Most notably, HBO’s “True Detective” season 1 and the 1999 film “EDtv.”

Skydance Television is backing the series, it is executive produced by Read, Harrelson, and McConaughey. Other executive producers include David Ellison and Dana Goldberg. As well as Matt Thunell, Bill Bost, and Jeremy Plagerfor for Skydance Television.

News of this show broke soon after Apple TV+ and Skydance unveiled another new project from Read, “The Big Door Prize.” That show stars Chris O’Dowd (“The IT Crowd”) and just had its world premiere at the SXSW festival.  “The Big Door Prize,” will air its first three episodes on Wednesday, March 29, followed by a new episode every Wednesday until May 17.

With how early it is into the development process, there is no word on when the new series with  McConaughey and Harrelson may come out. But we’ll keep you posted on updates as they become available.
