Welcome back to the basement- “That ’90s Show” has its first full official trailer. Set in 1995, the series is Netflix’s much-anticipated follow-up to “That ’70s Show.”

It will follow Leia Forman (Callie Haverda) the smart but awkward daughter of Eric Forman (Topher Grace) and Donna Pinciotti (Laura Prepon). As she leaves Chicago for the summer to visit her grandparents Kitty (Debra Jo Rupp) and Red (Kurtwood Smith) in Point Place, Wisconsin. There she meets Jay Kelso (Mace Coronel), the handsome son of Michael Kelso (Ashton Kutcher) and Jackie Burkhart (Mila Kunis).

It doesn’t take long for Leia to be sitting right next to Jay on what looks like the old 1969 Vista Cruiser. In addition to the two sets of high school sweethearts, we see Fez (Wilmer Valderrama). As he does Kitty’s hair at his own salon Chez Fez. Leo (Tommy Chong) makes an appearance look as confused and relaxed as ever.

Out of all the core and even some tertiary cast members, the only real notable absence in the trailer is Hyde (Danny Masterson), since he is currently facing sexual assault charges. Though it does seem like the original gang will be out after episode one. Leaving Rupp and Smith to tend to the next generation of teens. “That ’90s Show” will also star Ashley Aufderheide, Maxwell Acee Donovan, Reyn Doi, and Sam Morelos.

The show is created by “That ’70s Show”’s Bonnie and Terry Turner, fittingly, alongside their daughter Lindsey Turner. Gregg Mettler will act as showrunner and executive producer. We just hope this one captures the magic of the original more than “That ’80s Show” did, which only ran for 13 episodes.
“That ’90s Show” premieres January 19th exclusively on Netflix. Check out the full trailer below:
