    “LotR: The Rings of Power” First Episode Title Revealed

    This just in-

    it would appear we know the title for the very first episode of Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.” Season 1, which will premiere later this year, will launch with “Shadow of the Past.”

    We know “The Rings of Power” takes place during the Second Age of Middle-earth, thousands of years prior to Peter Jackson‘s iconic films. We’re likely to see the rise of Sauron, the fall of Númenor, the forging of the rings, and other major historical events.

    There were also another handful of photos released today from Empire Magazine, which is also available to Apple News subscribers. Some pretty great teases for sure!

    “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” is set to hit Amazon Prime Video on September 2nd, 2022. We’re hoping for another trailer soon.
