How to choose something to watch? Nowadays the range of titles is astonishing and many people use social media to find what they want to watch today, or in the near future. And it is no secret that YouTube is probably the best platform to discover interesting movies or newest series. There are many bloggers who create reviews for film industry products. Yet there is still room for new faces here, and with certain effort, you can buy cheap subscribers with your charisma and get real profit from your YouTube channel. In this article, we will share some tips for a successful promotion of a thematic channel.

    Use Google-friendly SEO

Since YouTube is a part of Google, their SEO systems are integrated, so if your video is popular on YT then it will be in the top results on Google search. Modern search system prioritizes videos because they are considered to be the most popular type of content. Unfortunately, there is no pre-made recipe of perfect keywords that will guarantee you growth. You will have to do research and discover which terms can bring you to success.

    Write Good Titles

Naming plays a big part in your SEO strategy campaigns because you can infuse the most relevant keywords in the titles, and trigger the interest of your potential viewers. The most effective way to make your video attractive for users is to create titles that include forms like “how to” or “top 10”. In the case of movie reviewing channels, lists are probably the most effective way to name your videos. Nevertheless – keep it short and nice. Too wordy names can be less attractive compared to brief ones.

    Add Custom Thumbnails

Another method to drive more attention to your content is to make engaging thumbnails that will attract people and motivate them to click on your video. Create bright and distinct pictures that give a hint about your content. Here are the key rules of creating a nice picture:

    • 1280×720 resolution
    • Size up 2 Mb
    • JPG, GIF, PNG format
    • It is preferred to use your original content or purchased stock photos
    • Use the same branding as on your other materials to create a consistent look.

    Offer Something New

Movie reviewing is an incredibly popular niche on YouTube, so to drive people to your channel you will have to open up your secret sources of charisma and creativity. Or find new ways of presenting known content. The main rule is pretty obvious: make your videos valuable to viewers, so they don’t want to miss new episodes from you.  Good video on YouTube is a mix of useful and entertaining ideas. So you have to make something that no one did before, at least partly. Lists of movies are a known type of content that engages many people, so your task here is to make a difference with small details, especially ones that depict your personality.

And Few More Words About Personality

This is vital for successful promotion. The absolute majority of channels are rolling on charisma or the authors. People like to follow other people. Simply being yourself is what for sure will lead you to a like-minded crowd, hence you will get a loyal audience. For a prize that is top rank in YouTube, price is exposing your life. Of course, the amount of exposure is up to you, but a brief look would show that authors who share more personal experiences and opinions are more interesting to the audience.

But don’t fake a new persona for your channel. People love genuine emotions and reactions, so don’t try to fool your followers with something that you are not.

    Build A Schedule

Along with a bright personality and original content comes stability. Users like having their content regularly, so you must think of a relevant plan, so you will have a balanced life as well as enough time for creating and refining your materials. It is recommended to begin by uploading videos once a week, with a further increase of your uploading to two or three videos per week. If you need more time, it is ok, as long as you will maintain the regularity, and appear on the platform more. If you meet any unexpected obstacles that ruin your schedule, it is worth your time to tell your subscribers that your new episode will be delayed and apologize. Such a gesture exposes your manners and attitude to the followers, still improving your relations.

    Communicate… A Lot

What a social network is, if not a place to talk? Here people can meet role models and speak to them without formalities! YouTube is one of the most free platforms where people talk to bloggers. Mostly, conversations start in comments. You should be attentive to all comments that you receive and reply quickly enough. And don’t forget that your older videos can still be a source of a nice chat, so check them regularly.

Another interesting and useful option is live chat, which can be turned on while you stream live content. There you can interact with your audience in real-time format, strengthening the bond between you and your viewers. Thus you get a stronger community which becomes your great support on social media.

    Run Contests

This is a bit of a cliche, yet still effective if you want to promote your channel. You will become more popular for sure if you will host contests and lotteries that are easy to participate in and win, to keep your subscribers motivated. Look for interesting sponsorships that are worth users’ attention, and which provide high-quality product or service.

Of course, you have to integrate your industry topics, to make the contests more engaging  and to create an association with you for newcomers who are potentially to be your followers. And don’t forget to collect feedback! If other people see the actual result of a lottery, they are more likely to participate in your next one, so they will subscribe to your updates so as not to miss it.

    Constant Monitoring

For better growth, you must keep your analytics close to you all the time. There are many metrics to track, but the most important ones are watch time and other activity measures. For the best performance you must track the correlation between different metrics and see users behavior. Knowing how and when people engage with your content the most, you can adjust your strategy and eliminate elements that failed.

Also, read comments! There you can find the most sincere criticism of your activity online! Of course, you can meet people who don’t like videos like yours, but they can have something useful to say too.

    Conclusion

If you want to start a movie reviewing channel on YouTube – that is a brilliant idea! Although this niche seems to be crowded, don’t worry. Every successful channel has a personality behind it, who is interesting to people, and even if your videos are not completely something new, there is enough room for your blog too. Follow the tips from this article and add a bit of individual features to your strategy. And sometimes you should just go with the flow, so to not overthink and overdo things.
