Dogs are said to be man’s best friend. And in this case, a beautiful one year-old border collie chose good ole’ Abe Lincoln to be their companion. Unfortunately for the collie it was a statue but that doesn’t make the attempt any less cute.
According to the owner of the dog, Nova the pup doesn’t discriminate when it comes to “choosing victims” to play frisbee with her. I guess that means she’s a pretty energetic dog!
She loves nothing more than playing frisbee and chooses victims of any shape or size to play with her. Even this statue of good ole Abraham Lincoln. She is excellent at being noticed, but Abe kept his stone-cold gaze and continued to ignore her. Weird… I always pictured him as an animal person. This took place at Scheels in The Colony, Texas on 9/13/21.

Now that Nova has had this experience with a real statue I’d love to see her find one of those performance actors that dress up as a statue and stand still. Imagine her going to one of them and they actually throw back. I wonder if she’d be stoked or scared! Check out this adorable video of Nova trying to play catch with Abraham Lincoln below.
