Netflix made the announcement today that their highly popular period romantic dramedy “Bridgerton” will be back for even more seasons. We knew the streaming service’s show had already been renewed for a second. As you can see, the show was picked up for seasons three and four!
Despite the news that series star Regé-Jean Page will not be returning for season 2, this is exciting for fans.
“Bridgerton” season 2 will reportedly focus on Jonathan Bailey‘s character, Anthony Bridgerton. Phoebe Dynevor is expected to continue to appear as Daphne Bridgerton. She’ll help her brother “navigate the upcoming social season and what it has to offer.”
Netflix confirmed earlier this month some of the newcomers who are joining the series for season 2, including Charithra Chandran as Edwina Sharma (Kate’s younger sister), and Shelley Conn will play Mary Sharma, Kate’s mother. Calam Lynch will play Theo Sharpe, and Rupert Young who will play Jack.
Fans can see Page in the upcoming live-action “Dungeons & Dragons” film for Paramount Pictures.
Season 2 of Netflix’s “Bridgerton” is expected to begin filming this month. Season 1 is available to stream now.
