Jetson ONE Shows Off Single Person Drone in Flight

The Jetson ONE is a single person transportation device. Jetson, a Swedish company has been working on this project since 2017 and in the span of just a few years have completed a successful prototype and final design.

Jetson® One PAV(personal air vehicle) is powered by 8 powerful brushless electric motors and lithium batteries. It is capable of lifting a passenger up to 100kg(220lbs) weight. The flight time is 15 minutes. They say that people on the lighter end of the scale may be able to get 25 minutes fly time and that they are working on building a shield around the passenger. Building a shield will add to the weight of the vehicle but it will also be more protective in case you crash. What it has now appears to be a very basic “roll cage.”

In the video below you can see an earlier prototype of the vehicle. In this one you can see it with a passenger on board.

    How Can I Get One?

Soon we will be able to travel like the “Jetsons.” The company has a way to preorder this vehicle and say that by preordering you’re putting your money towards making the vehicle even better. They have build slots available and they are looking to fill them. The complete Jetson ONE will cost you $59,000 USD but in order to reserve your fill spot you only have to put down $14,200.

A complete vehicle is 59,000 USD and is delivered to you as a partially (50%) assembled kit for home completion. It contains everything you need, from the aluminum space frame to motor controllers, propellers and motors. You will also receive detailed build instructions.

If you want to have your own Jetson ONE, please contact us for purchase. 14,200 USD deposit to reserve a build slot. We plan to have twelve build slots for autumn 2022, with production starting during the summer of 2022.

This thing is admittedly pretty cool. If you want to match your personal Lamborghini go kart with a complimentary personal multi-rotor EVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) copter then this is the way to go. Just add a cool yellow and black paint job and Viola! Of course the Lamborghini is much cheaper at only $1,500.
