Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark was one of those staple books that kind of just stick with you as you grow. With those incredible illustrations that were beyond spooky, you never quite forget a book like that. Complete with classic haunting tales that you grow up wanting to pass on to the younglings in your life.

We have great news for you today if you do remember this childhood gem.
Scary Stories: A Tribute to Terror, a new volume written by Curt Tuckfield and illustrated by Shane Hunt in tribute to the classic Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark is available as a free digital download on the project’s official website!

The download features 34 all new stories and over 60 illustrations based on the three original volumes written by Alvin Schwartz and illustrated by Stephen Gammell.
Scary Stories: A Tribute to Terror is a great way to keep ones self entertained during quarantine. It’s also the perfect opportunity to share the horror to the younger folks in your life if you haven’t introduced them already.

Tuckfield and Hunt really captured the spirit of the Schwartz’s work and truth be told some of their stories are even scarier than those we read in the original trilogy so many years ago. Or at least, thats based on what we remember.

The digital download is available as a PDF that should open on almost any device. You can also find physical copies of the collection that are on sale, marked down from $24 to only $19. Seems like a great deal if you like to have a good book square in your hands.
