Kobe Bryant Dies in Helicopter Crash

Update: His daughter Gianna(Gigi) was with him and they were on their way to her basketball practice. The helicopter was heavily effected by the fog that was out. They reportedly flew at a low altitude around the LA Zoo before they flew along the 118 freeway. After that they crashed into the side of a mountain. They contacted the control tower but due to the heavy fog they were unable to help. They took a turn towards the mountains and crashed into the side of it.

There were also apparently 9 people who died in the crash one of them being Orange Coast College head baseball coach John Altobelli. His wife and their daughter were also with him when the helicopter went down.

Kobe Bryant who was one of the biggest stars of the Los Angeles Lakers has passed away today. He was involved in a helicopter crash. He was only 41 years young.

Bryant was a passenger on board of a helicopter that crashed in the Los Angeles county suburb of Calabasas. He was traveling with at least three other people when his helicopter went down. Five people died in the crash including two other passengers and the pilots.

We are all devastated by his loss, it was sudden news for all of us and Lakers fans everywhere are mourning. He is survived by his wife Vanessa, and daughters Natalia, Bianca and Capri.
