Umbrella Academy season 2 just wrapped filming and we are all excited to see what comes next. There is now amount of time that doesn’t feel like torture between seasons since the last one left off with such a cliff hanger. And it looks like we will get to see the Hargreeves family again sometime next year, hopefully early. Since the first season of Umbrella Academy dropped in February this year it’s speculated that we will see the second season on the streaming platform early to mid 2020.

The shoot for the second season lasted six months and will bring us ten new episodes and three new characters. Ritu Arya, Marin Ireland and Yusuf Gatewood join The Umbrella Academy as Lila, Sissy and Raymond. While the character descriptions are pretty vague we know a little about there personalities from a previous press release.

Lily is described as “a chameleon who can be as brilliant or as clinically insane as the situation requires, unpredictable, mischievous” and “sarcastic” with a “twisted sense of humor”.

Raymond is a “Born leader and devoted husband, has the smarts, gravitas, and confidence to never have to prove it to anyone, and has the innate ability to disarm you with a look.”

Sissy is a, “Fearless, no nonsense Texas Mom, married young for all the wrong reasons and is eager to rediscover what life and love has to offer.”

With these new characters in the mix the show is sure to become even more lively than it was before. Though that is pretty hard to believe.

Gerard Way put his heart into this show and prior to that the comic that started it all. Umbrella Academy is one of the highest rated and most watched series on Netflix next to Stranger Things and its popularity grows everyday.
