Folding Screens and Greater Power for Gaming Smartphones

When it comes to gaming hardware we tend to aim for the best the current market has to offer or as close as we can get to that standard. Mobile capabilities are constantly being upgraded, which makes smartphones the most well-rounded source of entertainment. Judging by growing sales, likely to cross the 1.56-billion mark by 2020, the market reflects people’s approval of smartphone evolution.

Every new model created tries to up the fun factor, with the successful ones often redefining mobile capabilities, not to mention the expectations of gamers and developers.

    New species of smartphone

Mobile phones aren’t what they used to be. Most activities you’d normally do on a computer can now be performed on a handheld device. As folding displays are improved, for example, even tablets will no longer be necessary. Users could play Clash of Clans on one screen, while Skyping or browsing reviews of Canadian casinos in the other. Already popular among mobile users, around 100 million players reportedly prefer the apps of online casinos to play the likes of NetEnt’s Secret of the Stones. This is because smartphones are all about convenience, regardless of the level of entertainment you’re interested in.

    Asus ROG Phone 2

An Android masterpiece is pushing mobile gaming boundaries. Its star features are a Snapdragon 855 Plus CPU, 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a 6,000mAh battery. On top of extra gaming gadgetry to go with it, like the WiGig adapter and ROG Kunai Gamepad, the ROG 2 still manages to work as a state-of-the-art phone, with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a 48-megapixel camera included. This phone was made to play the best mobile video games out there and then some, so the price tag shouldn’t come as a surprise, starting at $899.

    Samsung Galaxy Fold

Another device competing for mobile tech innovation – far pricier but worthwhile. The new Galaxy Fold has finally arrived after its April launch was pushed back due to technical issues. This finalized version seems to have smoothed out every detail of the 7.3-inch Infinity Flex AMOLED Display that can fold around an articulated spine. With a dual battery of 4380mAh, 5G technology and the option to use a small, large or two screens at the same time makes this a Samsung tool for every need, gaming, casual or professional.

    Xiaomi Mi10

We’re looking forward to many revolutionary smartphone designs in 2020 and this is one of them, almost on-par with the also upcoming Samsung Galaxy S11. The Xiaomi will be using a 6.4-inch AMOLED display, Snapdragon 865 CPU, four cameras, up to 12GB of RAM and so much more. Even without special screens and dozens of cool toys, high performance and display are once again the key features the developer has focused on. Mobile tech companies are outmanoeuvring each other on the race to providing consumers with a smartphone that is versatile and beyond dazzling.

These aren’t the only brands promising great gaming smartphones, but Samsung, Asus and Xiaomi are definitely the first to check out, if only to see where mobile technology is leading us. One thing’s for sure, it will be a thrill for the senses.
