There’s a new spooky shing ding in town and it’s called Darkside in Riverside. They’re going to have a 3 day weekend from October 18th- 20th full of fun programming. They are going to have a LARP character maze of characters downtown for people to encounter, Special guests like Linda Blair from The Excorcist, and a bunch of other fun activities that are great for adults and kids alike.

Darkside in Riverside will have an amazing Haunted Experience where you can go on a tour with the Yeats couple who will take you to an array of  haunted downtowner buildings. If you ever wanted to go on a cool supernatural death tour this is your chance.

Fitz and the Tantrums will also be performing at the event. They will be performing live on Fox Performing Arts Center “Local Legends Studios” Stage on Saturday evening at 8pm.

Another great draw to this convention is the Night of the Demons: Reunion panel where the director and cast will reunite and reminisce about their experience working on one of our favorite 80’s horror flicks.

The Friday the 13th 40th Anniversary Kickoff Celebration will be a special panel on Friday featuring Ari Lehman (Jason), composer Harry Manfredini and a special guest that is still to be announced. There will be a Q&A, and a group photo and autograph session as well as a screening of the movie that started it all. They’re giving out Free Jason Masks in attempt to set the record for the most people wearing a “Jason” mask in one room.

A lot more panels and activities are going on besides the ones mentioned above. Some other things that are happening are; The Deadly Survival Chase, The Eric Fox Experiece, Comedy & Horror Cafe on the 2nd Floor, Monster Costume Contest at the Fox Theatre, Video Game Tournament by Conflux Gaming, Super Sonic Speed Dating Presents: Horror Speed Dating (also Speed-Friending), Foodie Alley, a 2019 Scream Champions Competition for $$$, Hearses and Car Show, Star Wars Friends, and the Umbrella Corporation Arizona Hive will be making an appearance. Click here to read the descriptions for each activity.

Their guest list is compiled of a lot of actors and people in the horror industry. Some of the bigger names are Linda Blair(The Exorcist), Tony Todd(Candyman, Final Destination) Ari Lehman(Friday the 13th), John Kassir(Voice of the Crypt Keeper), Michael Berryman(The Hills Have Eyes), Jason Shawn Alexander(artist/illustrator for Spawn), Kevin Tenney(Night of the Demons:Reunion), Linnea Quigley(Night of the Demons: Reunion), Amelia Kinkade(Night of the Demons: Reunion), Cathy Podewell(Night of the Demons: Reunion), Billy Gallo(Night of the Demons: Reunion), Phillip Tanzini(Night of the Demons: Reunion), Lance Fenton(Night of the Demons: Reunion), Hal Havins(Night of the Demons: Reunion), Harry Manfredini(Composer- Friday the 13th), Bob Elmore(Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2), PJ Soles(Carrie, Halloween), Robert Mukes(House of 1000 Corpses), Danny Hicks(Evil Dead 2, Darkman), Ann Robinson(War of the Worlds), and The Boogeyman(Wrestling Legend).
