    Star Wars Barbie Collection Announced!

    Mattel has announced a brand new line of Star Wars Barbies that will be released this September. If you remember not long ago we talked about the Marvel Barbie line that they released including Storm, Dark Phoenix and Mystique. They really seem to be upping their game in the nerd culture scene and are making what I call, “Cosplay” Barbies. They are absolutely stunning and cost a bit less than their previous releases such as My Fair Lady and other movie inspired Barbies. These dolls are to be released September 18th. The dolls are to commemorate Star Wars: A New Hope.

    Darth Vader

    Oh Momma! She is gorgeous! This will definitely be the next genderbent cosplay in the community, look at how stunning she is! She captures Darth Vader’s Sith armor silhouette in head-to-toe black. She wears a shiny-black peplum top, panelled pencil skirt and knee-high boots. Metallic details at her collar and waist, dark glasses and a long, black cape finish the look. And she comes with a doll stand and Certificate of Authenticity. You can click here to learn more.

    R2D2

    Up next is this kawaii version of our droid friend R2D2. This collectible Star Wars x Barbie doll captures R2-D2’s look in a geometric ensemble with a dome skirt, bomber jacket and thigh-high boots over silvery tights.     Princess Leia

    What better way to pay homage to Carrie Fisher than by owning this lovely doll. This collectible Star Wars x Barbie doll captures Princess Leia’s iconic look in an elegant gown with dramatic, floor-length sleeves.
