Submitted for the approval of The Midnight Society, I call this article, Are You Afraid of the Dark is Coming Back, Baby!

Are You Afraid of the Dark was a popular kids horror show that ran on YTV in Canada from 1990 to 1996 and was acquired by Nickelodeon in 1991 to begin running with their SNICK lineup in 1992. It saw a small comeback from 1999-2000.

The show featured a group of friends who called themselves The Midnight Society, who would meet in the woods around a bonfire and tell each other scary stories. The group of kids would occasionally change over time as the show ran for 7 seasons, or 91 episodes, over the course of 9 years.

    The Midnight Society

The new series is set to star a whole new cast of young faces, including Tamara Smart, known for her role as Edin Nightshade in the Worst Witch, and begins its run in October. We will also see the release of an Are You Afraid of the Dark movie from Paramount Pictures.

I can say one thing’s for sure. If the reboot is anywhere near as scary as the original, you’ll be able to find me hiding under my kid’s blanket while I watch it.
