Slip into your Metal Tech Suit and buckle up for this retro trip through space! 1985’s Space Wolf Juspion is coming to standard definition Blu-Ray courtesy of Discotek Media. The fourth in Toei’s Metal Hero franchise (best known in the west as the source of VR Troopers and Beetleborgs), Juspion follows the eponymous intergalactic hero as he defends the galaxy from Satan Gorth and his Megabeasts. This will be the first ever release of an original Metal Hero series in the United States.

Discotek announced the Blu-Ray this past weekend at Otakon, with additional Twitter posts to spread the news. The media company is best known for the western distribution of anime classics like Fist of the North Star and Lupin III. Juspion marks their first foray into live-action tokusatsu, with hopefully more to come. No release date has been given for the Blu-Ray at this time, but you can check out the opening sequence on Discotek’s Twitter to sate your appetite till it comes!
