On September 21st, Grammy winner Lizzo accepted a humanitarian award hours after being hit with a second lawsuit. “Squid Game: The Challenge” is finally coming after several setbacks. Performer Lizzo is facing another lawsuit for “overseeing a hostile work environment.” The plaintiff is a stylist who claims she was subjected to a “culture of racism and bullying” while on tour with the artist. Filmmaker Seth MacFarlane is once again donating to the Entertainment Community Fund (ECF), this time to the tune of $5 million. MacFarlane previously donated $1 million in July of this year, for the fund’s efforts of supporting industry professionals amid the Hollywood strikes. To help crack down on Halloween pranks, the city of Beverly Hills banned the personal possession of some traditional “trick” tools. During a meeting on September 19th, the Beverly Hills City Council voted unanimously to adopt a new ordinance. The ordinance prohibits the possession of Silly String, “hair removal products” and shaving cream on Halloween. The London stage play based on “Stranger Things” has announced its cast, set dates for previews, and has a formal opening date. “Stranger Things: The First Shadow” is a prequel to the Netflix hit series set in 1959. Previews for the show will begin on November 17th, 2023 at the Phoenix Theater in London’s West End.
