Author: Mary Anne Butler

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

One of the more anticipated sequels currently in the works is Tim Burton‘s long-gestating “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.” The film will see the return of pretty much the entire original cast (minus those who are no longer with us), including Michael Keaton, Catherine O’Hara, and Winona Ryder. Even composer Danny Elfman and costume designer Colleen Atwood are back, too!But of course new faces are joining the fun as well, including “Wednesday” star Jenna Ortega, Monica Bellucci, Justin Theroux, and Willem Dafoe. We know a few things about the characters. Ortega will play Astrid Deetz, daughter of Lydia Deetz (Ryder), granddaughter of Delia Deetz (O’Hara). “Beetlejuice is back! After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz…

If you haven’t watched FX’s hilarious vampirical comedy “What We Do In The Shadows,” you’ve been missing out. Taking it’s cues from Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement’s irreverent 2014 film of the same name, you’ll meet a group of…

This just in-it seems like Joe and Anthony Russo are currently in talks to return to Disney’s Marvel Studios. According to industry sources and insiders, the Russo Brothers are eyeing directing the upcoming 5th and 6th “Avengers” films. Of course things haven’t been going well for the feature film division of late. “Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania” and “Loki” star Jonathan Majors was arrested and charged with assault, causing lots of questions about the future of “Avengers: Kang Dynasty” (aka “Avengers 5.”) There have been multiple writing and directing changes on that project. Just like “Blade,” which we are doubtful…

After months- wait, YEARS of complaining about living and doing business in California, Elon Musk has had enough. He has vowed to move the headquarters of social media platform X (formerly Twitter) and SpaceX from California to Texas. X’s main offices will move from San Francisco to Austin, and SpaceX from Hawthorne to Starbase, TX.This move was prompted by Governor Gavin Newsom (D-Calif.) signing a new law that bars school districts in CA from notifying parents of a child’s gender identification change. We’re not making that up- that’s the actual reason Musk gave. It’s worth noting that Musk shares a…
