From the desert planet of Arrakis to the the annals of folk and rock history, Oscar nominee Timothée Chalamet (“Dune Part One,” “Dune Part Two”) is having a helluva run. We know he can sing and dance, but what about playing a real-life iconic American musician? From director James Mangold and screenwriter Jay Cocks (“Gangs of New York”), we’re getting a new Bob Dylan biopic called “A Complete Unknown,” starring Chalamet as the Nobel laureate. Dylan himself is serving as an executive producer. The cast includes Elle Fanning (“The Great“) as Sylvie Russo, and Monica Barbaro (“Top Gun: Maverick“) as Joan Baez. Benedict Cumberbatch was originally…

Dreams really do come true, especially for fans of Frank Herbert’s seminal piece of science fiction, “Dune.” Theres just so much of it to experience! Books! Movies! Miniseries! Comics! While I don’t love either of SYFY miniseries, I *am* a lover of David Lynch’s 1984 version. More minimally of Denis Villeneuve’s recent “Dune Part One” and “Dune Part Two.” That’s not to say I outright DISLIKE them, but, there is more for me personally in the 1984 flick. Including but not limited to that bitchin’ Toto guitar riff, the Atreides battle pug, and that magical scene of Sting as Feyd-Rautha…

Who knew a movie based on a ride at Disneyland would become one of the more successful and lets face it- beloved film franchises out there. Well, legendary producer Jerry Bruckheimer, for one. Considering his filmography, he kind of knows his way around a hit. We’ve already had 5 films in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” saga, but a possible 6th one is what we’re here to discuss. Rumors have abounded for some time about what another “Pirates” would focus on. Would we see the Swans again? What about other notable piratical characters from history? But perhaps the most pressing…
There are few things as certain as a key film franchise never ending. Even more so when it’s “Jurassic Park” and “Jurassic World.” So, it should come as no surprise that yet-another-entry in the dinosaur saga is coming. Its strange knowing it’ll be a ‘reboot’ of the most recent films, but we’re curious to see what Garth Edwards does with it. That’s what brings us to today’s news of a possible star for the project. Originally, “Deadpool” helmer David Leitch was going to be in the hot seat for the next film. But mere weeks after he’d been announced, it…

From April 5th to June 2nd, you’ll be able to find these new items and more throughout the Disneyland resort, and Downtown Disney district. Galactic Goodies Oga’s Cantina Popcorn Buckets! You can read about these and more at the official Disneyland Parks Blog here.
While we weren’t shocked to love Matt Reeves’ “The Batman,” we were delighted to see Colin Farrell get such a celebrated turn as notorous Rogue’s Gallery member, The Penguin. This version was certainly more grounded than Tim Burton’s version played by Danny DiVito (which we love without a single measure of irony). The 8-episode series stars Farrell, Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Deirdre O’Connell, Clancy Brown, Carmen Ejogo, François Chau, Theo Rossi, and David H. Holmes. Reeves’ is an executive producer, Lauren LeFranc wrote the project, and is acting as showrunner.”The Penguin” will hit MAX this fall.…
If one of the fondest memories from your childhood is pouring a nice cup of BanthaBlue after a hard day on the moisture farm, we have some great news for you. Maybe your uncle was a bit of a hardass and wouldn’t get you go hang out with your friends, but you always had that…milk…to look forward to.What we mean is that scene in “Star Wars” when Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) “enjoys” a cup of blue milk with this aunt and uncle. Wouldn’t you like to experience the same thing from the comfort of your own home? Well, thanks to…
One of the more anticipated sequels currently in the works is Tim Burton‘s long-gestating “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” The film will see the return of pretty much the entire original cast (minus those who are no longer with us), including Michael Keaton, Catherine O’Hara, and Winona Ryder. Even composer Danny Elfman and costume designer Colleen Atwood are back, too! But of course new faces are joining the fun as well, including “Wednesday” star Jenna Ortega, Monica Bellucci, Justin Theroux, and Willem Dafoe. We know a few things about the characters. Ortega will play Astrid Deetz, daughter of Lydia Deetz (Ryder), granddaughter of Delia Deetz (O’Hara). Yesterday, Entertainment Weekly treated us to two official…
When word first hit in the early 2000s that a musical based on “The Wizard of Oz” was coming, a lot of people kinda had the same thought. “We already have that. It’s called ‘The Wiz,’ and it’s great.” But things were slowly revealed about this new take- it would be different, there would be no Dorothy (technically), and it would be a prequel about the Wicked Witch of the West and her former BFF, Glinda. Needless to say, when “Wicked” finally hit the state in 2003, it REALLY took the world by storm. It shattered expectations, and has remained…
