One of our favorite things about Halloween is seeing just how hard some celebs go for the holiday. There’s always a tremendous reveal from Heidi Klum (this year it was E.T.), Neil Patrick Harris’s entire family, and various one-ofs that are awesome. Our favorite this year (so far) is “The Wild Robot” star Lupita Nyong’o’s Marvel Comics costume. Yes, she already is a member of the Marvel Studios family as Nakia in “Black Panther,” but now we’re kinda wishing she’d get double cast in that world. Nyong’o shared a video of her costume for this year, the one and only…
We’re not sure why exactly the world needs a “Game of Thrones” movie after 8 seasons of a main series, 2 seasons of a spinoff, and at least 5 other potential spinoffs in the works. Not to mention that whole thing where the author of the series the show is based on not being able to finish the book he’s been promising for what, 15 years now? At present, nothing is known for sure about the project. No word on what or who it’ll be about, or who will write or direct. THR first reported the news.
Chances are if you are a certain age and used to shop primarily at Hot Topic, this next news will be VERY interesting to you. Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Bad Robot are apparently developing an animated film based on “Emily the Strange!” Rob Reger originally created the character for his Cosmic Debris Etc. Inc.This isn’t the first time the character was rumored to be starring in a project. For the last 20 or so years, various companies have been reportedly developing projects from an animated series to a live-action film. Pamela Ribon (“Moana”) is penning the script. “Both the…
Earlier this morning, Marvel Studios released a short sizzle reel they’re calling “Look Ahead.” In it, we are treated to our first official look at several of the upcoming projects on the Disney+ slate, including “Daredevil: Born Again,” “Wonder Man,” and “Marvel Zombies.”It’s pretty great to see Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, and Jon Bernthal all together again in Hell’s Kitchen. The video also reveals when these upcoming projects are gonna hit- “What If…?” season 3 – December 22nd, 2024 “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man “– January 29th, 2025 “Daredevil: Born Again” – March 4th, 2025 “Ironheart “– June 24th, 2025 “Eyes of Wakanda” – August 6th,…
We are so very sorry to share the news of the passing of an icon. The great Teri Garr, knockout blonde bombshell with perfect comedic timing and a heart of gold, as passed away. Garr was arguably best known for her role of Inga in Mel Brooks’ seminal comedic classic, “Young Frankenstein,” and for her turn in “Tootsie,” which nabbed her an Oscar nomination. She also co-stared alongside Richard Dreyfus in Steven Spielberg’s “Close Encounters of the Third Kind.”She started her movie career as a gogo dancer in the background of 6 Elvis Presley films, and eventually would appear in…
This just in-Prime Video’s “Good Omens” will NOT be getting a third season to end the series. Instead, the David Tennant and Michael Sheen starring show will get one single episode as a send off. True, 90 minutes is no slouch, but, we were hoping for a fully realized season rather than this. Author Neil Gaiman who co-wrote the book “Good Omens” with the late, great Sir Terry Prachett, stepped away from showrunning the series amid allegations of misconduct. His departure from this and other in-the-works projects left questions as to whether or not the show would even GET a…
This just in-sounds like Sony and Amazon have a new direction for their upcoming “God of War” live-action series. Based on the HUGELY popular and multi award-winning franchise from Santa Monica Studio, this adaptation was officially announced back in December of 2022. Since then, there have been some shakeups, such as showrunner and head writer Rafe Judkins (“Wheel of Time”) leaving the project. this past week. Reports indicate this parting of ways was NOT Judkins’ decision, and happened after numerous submitted drafts failed to strike the “God of War” note Sony was looking for. That’s what brings us to today’s…
Well, more bad news for fans of Marvel Studios’ day-walking vampire, “Blade.” The previously announced film starring Oscar winner Mahershala Ali has been pulled from all Disney / Marvel Studios release calendars. This comes amid multiple shakeups on the writing and directing side. Dan Trachtenberg’s (“10 Cloverfield Lane,” “Prey”) upcoming “Predator: Badlands” starring Elle Fanning will now be hitting theaters November 7th, 2025, which was gonna be “Blade’s” release date. There was no new date announced for “Blade,” which has seemingly been shelved. Three new Marvel Studios releases were given dates, but no details as to what they are:February 18th,…
