This morning we were treated to the first trailer for the upcoming second season of Disney+’s “Star Wars” live-action television series, “The Mandalorian.” Needless to say, reactions have been overwhelmingly positive from across the galaxy far, far away. We are so thrilled to share the news that Disney+ previously announced series about Jennifer Walters, aka “She-Hulk,” just took a giant green step forward! No, it’s not casting yet, but hopefully that isn’t too far down the Marvel Comics-line. This morning it was announced (and reported on by Deadline and others) that Kat Coiro (“Mozart in the Jungle, “Shameless”) is in final talks to direct the pilot, and possibly/probably additional episodes of the series. “Rick and Morty” scribe Jessica Gao will be running the writers room, and we’re pretty excited to see what she’ll do with the character. Just reading that sentence makes up happy, because imagine a period piratical series “Our Flag Means Death,” on HBO Max, written and directed by Taika Waititi. Because we’re getting one! “Our Flag Means Death” comes from Waititi, David Jenkins (“People of Earth”), and Garrett Basch (“The Night Of,” “What We Do in the Shadows”). This morning, Weird Al Yankovic posted something that made our jaws drop- that he first premiered parody classic “Another One Rides The Bus” on the famed Dr. Demento radio show 40 YEARS AGO TODAY. “Another One Rides The Bus” was recorded live on September 14th, 1980 on the Dr. Demento Show, which was hosted by Barret “Dr. Demento” Hansen. We cannot WAIT for EA Games new game “Star Wars: Squadrons” to come out. It looks absolutely incredible, and with every new trailer and photo release, our desire to play it grows exponentially.
