Author: Mary Anne Butler

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

Waller-Bridge played L3-37, a witty droid who was Lando Calrissian’s (Donald Glover) best “friend” in “Solo: A Star Wars Story.” L3 did not survive physically, but her…

More and more details as to just how bad Joss Whedon was to work with for the cast and crew of “Justice League” continue to surface. This new report is part of the fairly in-depth article The Hollywood Reporter published this morning, diving deep into all of Ray Fisher’s allegations against Whedon. It’s not pretty. And those who have known about Whedon’s behavior for decades should absolutely be ashamed of their part in…

Yet another big “Star Trek” announcement from today’s official First Contact Day celebrations comes in the form of a new event. Perhaps you’ll recall the annual Star Trek: Las Vegas event that used to be produced by Creation Entertainment, which subsequently went away (after they theoretically lost the license for the brand). Today, ViacomCBS / Paramount announced a brand new inaugural event is heading to Chicago in 2022 from ReedPop. This isn’t ReedPop’s first Star Trek: Mission event, and we’re curious to see how they handle the event going forward.  Each year, Star Trek: Mission ______ will travel to a…
