Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

We are DELIGHTED to share with you some first-look images at Kevin Smith’s upcoming “Masters of the Universe Revelations” series from Netflix. The 5-episode cg animated show already has quite the buzz, and with this gallery, we have to imagine fans will be even more excited for it. Here’s what Kevin Smith had to say about the series: “I watched all of the TV series growing up, it was everywhere in the ‘80s. We are absolutely THRILLED to share the 2021 class of inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Voting was wild this time around, to be sure. As always, the list of nominees was long, varied, and deserving. But, we’re pretty pleased with the results. The 2021 class will include Tina Turner, The Go-Go’s, Carole King, Kraftwerk, the Foo Fighters, Jay-Z, and Todd Rundgren. Both Turner and Foo’s Dave Grohl will become double inductees, a small but distinct class of honorees. Maybe you’re scratching your head, because the final fan tally looked something like this. And yes, we know the…

This just in- it would appear that the Anaheim edition of Star Wars Celebration is changing again. At least this time it’s not a full year? The convention is adjusting their dates from August 18th-21st 2022 to May 26th-29th, 2022. In a way, this is great, because earlier is better. But, it also means a mad scramble for everyone to move their hotel reservations again. The Celebration website has an updated section on their FAQ page about hotel reservations, which reads: For reservations made through our official hotel provider, Connections Housing: For your convenience, all existing reservations will be automatically…

We wish we had a larger place to better display everything we want from Mondo. This week’s release happens to be one of our favorite retro-inspired warm and fuzzy modern series, “Cobra Kai.” Originally starting as a YouTube release, the show was picked up by Netflix, who have certainly made this “The Karate Kid” continuation their own. Earlier this week, Mondo announced the “Cobra Kai” soundtrack release (which includes a cassette), and we were immediately hoping there would be a badass poster to go with it. Lucky us- there is. Here’s what Mondo has to say about it: “COBRA KAI” Screenprinted…

After Netflix shelled out a truly impressive (and hotly debated) amount for two Rian Johnson “Knives Out” sequels, it totally makes sense that the cast would get some new blood. New only in that these two (so far) actors were not in the first film. Yesterday, it was revealed that Dave Bautista (“Blade Runner 2049,” “Guardians of the Galaxy”) had joined the cast. This morning, Edward Norton (“Red Dragon,” “The Incredible Hulk”) was also confirmed to be joining the sequel. And today, Janelle Monae joined the cast as well! We don’t know much about this sequel yet, other than Daniel…

We’ll admit it, there is a certain joy in watching someone on the internet getting corrected about a “fact” by a person directly involved in the creation of said fact. Things like the daily mansplainers who show up on Gail Simone’s Twitter account explaining who the Birds of Prey are, or that time a guy tried to correct Deborah Nadoolman Landis on the inspiration behind “Indiana Jones” signature hat. Today’s entry is one that seems to pop up every so often because ‘experts’ know more than the creators, right? Yeah not so much. Gerry Conway, who co-created the Marvel Comics…

We’re sure you’ve seen those viral videos of glass walkways across very high canyons, or top floors of high rises. This is what happens when one of those beautiful and terrifying foot bridges gets pummeled by high winds. In the Piyan Mountain region of China, 93mph winds caused portions of a glass bridge in LongJing to shatter. Towering 330 feet above the ground, one poor dude was living our nightmares. Thankfully, the man in question made it off the bridge safely. He was taken to a local hospital, and received counseling for what was obviously a traumatic event. The LongJing…
