Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

This just in- the legendary Mel Brooks will return as one of his most beloved characters for a sequel to one of his most beloved works. No, it’s not “Young Frankenstein” (my personal favorite), nor “Blazing Saddles.” Instead, it’s the long foretold sequel to “Spaceballs!” While we don’t know if “The Search for More Money” will actually be the title, we do know Brooks will once again play Yogurt. Perhaps the the most EXCITING bit of rumored news is the return of both Bill Pullman AND *drumroll please* Rick Moranis as Lone Starr and Dark Helmet, respectively. Moranis famously retired…

In what some have recently described as the darkest timeline, it’s hard to imagine knowingly removing one of the few bright points. Sadly, it happens. While we may never know the reasoning behind the choice, we are torn to report our next bit of news. Paramount+ has decided to give “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” one more season, but, sadly, it will be their last. As I say in situations like this, it’s always better for the creative team, the cast, the crew, to KNOW going in that the end is ahead. So many series don’t get that chance, and…

A third installment of Pixar’s “The Incredibles” is on the way. And while we won’t be seeing the return of creator and director Brad Bird (“The Iron Giant”), we do know who will be helming the flick. Peter Sohn, who directed “Elemental” for Disney / Pixar, will direct “The Incredibles 3.” Bird will be penning the script, along with Dana Murray (“Soul”). There are no details about a possible plot or returning characters yet, but we’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news.

And each time, the world waits to see what the new Last Son of Krypton brings to the pantheon of DC Comics’ greatest heroes. On that note, what’s going on with one of the other notable founding members of the JLA, Wonder Woman? Well, back in February of 2023, James Gunn and Peter Safran announced the launch of DC Studios, a new arm of Warner Bros. Pictures. Along with the launch came a slew of planned projects…

Tom Felton will reprise his role of Draco Malfoy from the “Harry Potter” film series! Maybe not how you’d expect, though. Felton (“Rise of the Planet of the Apes”) will make his Broadway debut in the cast of the play, “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.” Following the main “Harry Potter” characters (Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Draco) as adults along with their children, the play is a continuation of the book series. And yes, time travel is involved. “Being a part of the ‘Harry Potter’ films has been one of the greatest honors of my life,” Felton said. “Joining this…

After months of teasers and frankly terrifying short videos, we finally have an actual trailer for Noah Hawley’s “Alien: Earth” tv series. This is the first time the galaxy of Weyland-Yutani and the xenomorphs has been explored in television form, and we’re mightily curious to see it. Hawley of course is best known for his “Fargo” tv series, and my personal favorite, “Legion,” which were both for FX. We digress. Let’s check out the trailer. The series stars Sydney Chandler, Timothy Olyphant, Alex Lawther, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, Adrian Edmondson, David Rysdahl, Essie Davis, Lily Newmark, Erana James, Adarsh Gourav,…

Hard to believe it’s been 30 years since the live-action adaptation of “Casper” hit theaters. To celebrate this fact, FUNKO is releasing a collection of Pops based on the film. We are SO excited for Marvel Studios’ upcoming film “The Fantastic Four: First Steps.” Welcoming the First Family of Marvel Comics into the MCU is something we didn’t think would happen. Especially with a cast this good! Pedro Pascal (“The Last of Us“) plays Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby (“The Crown,” “Mission: Impossible“) is Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn (“Stranger Things,” “Gladiator II“) is Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (“The Bear“) is Ben Grimm/The Thing. Julia Garner (“Ozark,” “The Americans“) is playing Shalla Bal/The Silver Surfer. Paul Walter Hauser (“Blackbird“) was also added to the cast, but his role is also being kept underwraps. John Malkovich (“Billions,” “The New Look“) is playing an…
