We are very pleased to share the news that Disney+’s “Obi Wan Kenobi” series finally has a premiere date! We were kinda hoping for May the 4th, but we’ll have to wait a few more weeks. Deborah Chow will direct all episodes. Ewan McGregor is returning as the Jedi Master, and Hayden Christensen will return as Anakin Skywalker. “Kenobi” will premiere on May 25th, 2022. Which is actually the day before Star Wars Celebration kicks off in Anaheim, CA.
This new Batman movie keeps getting stranger and stranger, y’all. According to a quote from “The Batman” star Robert Pattinson, Bruce Wayne has an entirely new hobby. The story goes that while on set of Matt Reeves’ film, a fully cowled and costumed Pattinson was making sick beats. “I’d be in the tent just making ambient electronic music in the suit, looking over the cowl,” Pattinson revealed to EQ. “There’s something about the construction of the cowl that makes it very difficult to read books, so you have to kind of almost lean forward to see out of the cowl.”So…
Yeah, sorry, we’re not mixing words here. Disney+’s “Star Wars” series “The Book of Boba Fett” finale was not good. We’d go so far as to say it was outright terrible. We had such high hopes for it, too. With Temeura Morrison and Ming-Na Wen as leads, a tried and true production team and pretty much unlimited resources, “Book of Boba Fett” should have been amazing. You’ll notice we’re trying really hard not to give specifics- aka spoilers- for at least another day or two. To be fair, 2 of the 7 episodes weren’t terrible. The only problem? They were…
Perhaps you’ve forgotten, but we’re getting a reboot film of “Firestarter.” It’ll star Zac Efron, and newcomer Ryan Kiera Armstrong, as Andy and Charlie McGee respectively. Keith Thomas (“The Vigil”) is directing from a screenplay by Scott Teems (“Halloween Kills”). The film is obviously based on the original novel by Stephen King. It was announced today by Blumhouse that “Firestarter” will have a same-day release, both theatrical and on NBC’s streaming service Peacock. Kurtwood Smith, John Beasley, Sydney Lemmon, Michael Greyeyes, and Gloria Reuben also star. And perhaps the most exciting part of this reboot? The great John Carpenter will be composing…
We are delighted to share the official jacket art for Shae Ernshaw’s upcoming “The Nightmare Before Christmas” sequel novel. Centering on Sally, “Long Live the Pumpkin Queen” is a YA story. We’ll see the ragdoll turned Queen of Halloweentown on her own adventures. “I never imagined I’d be given an opportunity to tell Sally’s story—to tumble through the Hinterland into Tim Burton’s iconic world—and writing this book felt like uncovering a lost tome, as if Sally were leading me through her story, page by page, like unraveling a knotted spool of thread. This cover is a peek into the adventure…
We seriously cannot wait to see Pixar’s upcoming “Lightyear!” A film about the REAL Buzz Lightyear that inspired the figure in “Toy Story,” Chris Evans voices the iconic Space Ranger.Angus MacLane directs “Lightyear,” from a script by Pete Docter. It’ll hit theaters on June 17th, 2022.
Even if you don’t recognize the name Douglas Trumbull, you’ve absolutely seen his work. “2001: A Space Odyssey,” “Blade Runner,” “Close Encounters of the Third Kind,” and “Star Trek: The Motion Picture” come to mind. Trumbull was a visionary in his chosen fields, which also included writing and directing. Films like “Silent Running” wouldn’t still be talked about without his style. Fellow filmmakers and industry insiders have been sharing their thoughts on his passing. We highly suggest watching the “Blade Runner: The Final Cut” bonus material for the amazing VFX featurette. Also, “The Tree of Life,” and of course, “Star…
Comedian and marathon runner Eddie Izzard will take a classic literary role in a new way- Dr. Nina Jeckyll!
Matt Reeves’ upcoming film “The Batman” is right around the corner. Posters, trailers, and all kinds of sound bytes have been making the rounds. Earlier today, a new art piece from the legendary Bill Sienkiewicz was debuted. “Excited as hell for this. My Batman promotional poster triptych just went live on social media, so I can officially share it .It’s one piece (original is 35 x 18 inches ) but can and will be divided into three separate 11×17 ones for fans. This is a fantastic film, and I’m proud to be a part of its promotional campaign,” Sienkiewicz said…
