Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

Gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams of Georgia has joined “Star Trek!” The outspoken politician at the forefront of protecting voter’s rights in the southern state appeared on the season 4 finale of “Star Trek: Discovery.” The Paramount+ series featured Abrams as the President of United Earth. “We were fanning out the whole time, just trying to cover it up, trying to be cool,” series star Sonequa Martin-Green told Variety. “We adopted her so fast. We were like, ‘You’re “Star Trek” family forever now.’ She was just so comfortable with what she was doing, and knew exactly how to be and where…

This just in-Sounds like Irish pop/rock sensation U2 are getting the “Bohemian Rhapsody” biopic series treatment. We say “Bohemian Rhapsody” because the same writer, Anthony McCarten, will also pen this project. JJ Abrams and Bad Robot are reportedly producing the U2 project, which will be housed on Netflix. At present, there are no details about how much Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr. will actually be involved. Here’s hoping this series doesn’t run into the same issues as the Billy Joel one currently in production- which doesn’t have the rights to Joel’s likeness or his musical catalog.…

Never forget an actual branch of the United States military was sued by Netflix for copyright infringement. And lost, at least in certain territories. That said, the ‘actual real’ Space Force continues to move ahead, complete with unit emblems and slogans. One Twitter user posted a thread recently, showing off each branch’s emblems. They’re about as ridiculous as you can imagine. It’s worth looking through the entire thing. And also, don’t forget the ‘official’ Space Force logo, which looks /sarcasm strangely like the ol “Star Trek” Starfleet logo. Seasons 1-2 of “Space Force” are available to stream on Netflix. Hopeful…

We still can’t get over the fact that eventually, next year even, we’ll get another live action “Dungeons & Dragons” movie. This time, it’s gotta be good…right? RIGHT? With a cast including Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis, and Regé-Jean Page, there’s maybe a sliver of a chance? At least we know Chris Pine looks good in armor, and is comfortable with a sword. Speaking of Pine, he just recently chatted with Collider, and described the ol’ “D&D” live-action film as a mix of several other titles. And it’s got us even more hopeful. ” I will say is we had a…

There is something really amazing about seeing iconic cars and vehicles up close. True, you can’t, you know, DRIVE them, but standing next to something like the Batmobile from Tim Burton’s 1989 “Batman” is pretty freaking awesome. We were lucky enough to be invited to check out some of the new exhibits currently on display at the famed Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, CA. For gearheads and car aficionados, the Petersen is an incredible experience. Treat yourself to The Vault (an additional fee but well worth) it to see motor history. There are many signs that remind you no…

This just in-it would appear that Eric Bogosian (“Uncut Gems,” “Succession”) has joined the undead. Well, kind of. AMC has announced Bogosian as part of the cast of their upcoming “Interview With a Vampire,” based on the works of the late great Anne Rice.AMC says Bogosian will play reporter Daniel Molloy, who conducts the interview with Louis. Fans of “Interview” will recall Christian Slater played the character of Daniel in the 1994 feature film. While Bogosian is a tremendous actor- he remains my #1 choice to play the late Anthony Bourdain in a project- he is most assuredly NOT how…

While speaking with author Evan Ross Katz about their new book “Into Every Generation A Slayer Is Born,” Gellar answered the almost ever-present question- if “Buffy” to were to get rebooted, who would she want to see as the Slayer?“I vote Zendaya,” Gellar answered.…
