It’s the thing we’ve been dreading- the regeneration of the 13th Doctor, Jodie Whittaker. The first woman to carry the iconic BBC character’s mantle, Whittaker first joined “Doctor Who” in 2017. Her first appearance in the long-running series was the Christmas special, “Twice Upon a Time,” where 12th Doctor Peter Capaldi regenerated into Whittaker’s 13th. After what feels like forever, we’ve got our first look at the new cast joining season 2 of “The Wheel of Time.” Most notable among the teases from New York Comic Con (NYCC)’s panel was the first look at nu-Mat Cauthon, and Elayne Trakand. If those names don’t mean anything to do, it’s ok. But for fans of the series, these are big deals. At long last, Nintendo and Illumination have released the first look at their upcoming animated “Super Mario Bros.” film. Titled simply “The Super Mario Bros. Movie,” this project was first announced back in 2018. The world being what it was for a few years with Covid, things got delayed. Chris Pratt stars as the voice of hero plumber Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy is Princess Peach, Charlie Day is Mario’s brother Luigi, Jack Black is Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key is Toad, and Seth Rogen is Donkey Kong. FX series “American Horror Story” is coming with a new season later this fall. While we still don’t know what to expect from “American Horror Story: NYC,” we do have a new teaser to peak interest. We know “AHS: NYC” will star Joe Mantello, Billie Lourd, Zachary Quinto, Russell Tovey, Leslie Grossman, Charlie Carver, Sandra Bernhard, Isaac Powell, Denis O’Hare, and Broadway legend Patti LuPone.The 11th season of Ryan Murphy‘s anthology series “American Horror Story” will premiere on FX (and Hulu) October 19th, 2022.Check out the teaser below.

This just in-the Blumhouse Pictures film adaptation of popular video game “Five Nights at Freddy’s” has announced their director. Emma Tammi (“The Wind”) will be in the hot seat. And perhaps the most exciting part, the incredible Jim Henson Creature Shop will be handling the animatronics! As you can see, Jason Blum confirmed the news, and added cameras start rolling in February of 2023. We’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news.

Fans of Charlie Cox’s The Man Without Fear may want to make time to catch the next episode of “She-Hulk” on Disney+. While Cox HAS brought his Matt Murdock to a Marvel Studios project recently (he appeared in “Spider-Man: No Way Home”), this will be the official debut of a suited-up Daredevil in an official MCU thing. “Daredevil: Born Again” was announced by Marvel Studios back in May of 2022, but the title didn’t come til July. Perhaps one of the most iconic bathing suits in film history- you know, minus the myriad of James Bond entries- is Carrie Fisher’s gold bikini from “Star Wars: Episode VI- Return of the Jedi.” Worn by Fisher as Princess Leia, the divisive outfit has undergone some scrutiny. Fisher herself went back and forth on the symbolism of the bikini, which notorious gangster Jabba the Hutt forced the Rebel leader to wear. This just in-that long-dormant “Spawn” film set to star Jamie Foxx is still in active development. Kinda. According to an announcement from creator Todd McFarlane, Todd Silver, Malcolm Spellman, and Matthew Mixom are picking up the pen to write a new script. Last we’d heard, Brian Tucker was handling the screenplay, but that was back in 2021. Silver co-wrote “Joker” with Todd Phillips, a project that garnered a Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar nomination for the pair. Spellman recently wrote Marvel Studios’ “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” for Disney+, and is currently working on “Captain America 4” for the franchise.…

Earlier this morning, CD PROJEKT RED announced their upcoming plans for several key titles. Things like “Cyberpunk 2077: Orion,” and three different “The Witcher” games. Orion is a codename for our next Cyberpunk game, which will take the Cyberpunk franchise further and continue harnessing the potential of this dark future universe.
