We are so very sorry to share the news that influential filmmaker Ivan Reitman has passed away. While perhaps best known for his work on “Ghostbusters,” Reitman had prolific titles throughout the 80s and 90s. “Our family is grieving the unexpected loss of a husband, father, and grandfather who taught us to always seek the magic in life,” children Jason Reitman, Catherine Reitman and Caroline Reitman said in a joint statement. “We take comfort that his work as a filmmaker brought laughter and happiness to countless others around the world. There’s been much discourse the past few days about Amazon’s upcoming “The Lord of the Rings” series, “The Rings of Power.” From excitement and trepidation to bafflement and joy, this show is already a hotter topic than Mt. Chevy’s all-electric Silverado commercial reunited Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Robert Iler, who played Meadow and AJ Soprano respectively in David Chase’s hit HBO series “The Sopranos.” It’s…strange…to see Sigler reenact the iconic opening of the series, complete with Alabama 3’s “Woke Up This Morning.” Chevy has since released a behind-the-scenes featurette about the commercial.
