Yes, there is a new trailer out for “Mission: Impossible- Dead Reckoning Part One.” The 7th entry in the series looks to once again set the action/stunts bar incredibly high. So high in fact that star Tom Cruise needed to introduce the trailer on a plane’s wing while in the air. No really- he did that. “Mission: Impossible- Dead Reckoning Part One” is set to hit theaters on July 14th, 2023.

The four original Hobbits from Peter Jackson’s iconic “The Lord of the Rings” films are repping a fully-inclusive Middle-earth. Recent online discourse about Amazon Prime Video’s “The Rings of Power” has been…truly awful, mostly stemming from claims of “woke casting.” Some absolutely abhorrent racist remarks have targeted members of the cast who are minorities, much of the ire being lobbed before the series even premiered. Just in case you wanted to watch Sony’s disasterpiece “Morbius,” you can as of today, thanks to Netflix. (Although we’re not sure if ‘thanks’ is the right term here.) Perhaps one of the worst-reviewed superhero films this side of “Fant4stic,” the Jared Leto-starring “Spider-Man” villain solo film has become a bit of a cult flick. So much so that Sony, ever the clever ones, re-released it mere months after a pretty bad opening. And so, streaming giant Netflix has added the film as of September 7th, 2022. Actor Jason Momoa has once again taken a stand using his signature body hair. Perhaps you’ll remember when he shaved his iconic beard while in Wadi Rum (filming “Dune”) to bring awareness to the dangers of single-use plastic. We need to tell you about an incredible cosplay gathering that happened over Labor Day. Atlanta’s own Dragon Con, which boasted 65,000 attendees this year, is always a hotspot for costumes and creativity. Giant group photoshoots that take months of planning (and even longer for those in costume sometimes!) happen almost hourly. One of our favorites from the 5-day pop culture gathering was this amazing “Dune” group.Imagine getting to march in the annual Dragon Con Parade while carrying a sandworm! We are delighted to share this piece of cinema music news. The great Maestro John Williams (who is 90, by the way) debuted a piece of his score for the upcoming 5th “Indiana Jones” film. Williams was performing a slate of shows at the iconic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, and surprised the audience with the piece. Commenters on Twitter shared videos of “Helena’s Theme,” which is Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s character. Apparently director James Mangold “told him [Williams] to do it.” “Indiana Jones 5,” which still doesn’t have an official title, is due out June 30th, 2022.

At long last, the first official images of Jamie Clayton as the Hellpriest, aka Pinhead, have been released. The upcoming “Hellraiser” film does have original creator Clive Barker on board as a producer, with David Bruckner directing. “Clive’s been very involved,” says Bruckner. “Clive came on before the shoot, when we were in prep, and was really just a wonderful resource for me. Despite years of naysayers continually trying to trash Rian Johnson’s MASTERFUL entry into the galaxy far, far away, the filmmaker remains hopeful his “Star Wars” trilogy will happen.
