The King of Atlantis is jumping titles, as Jason Momoa will indeed be playing another DC Comics character in an upcoming film. As the actor confirmed himself today, Momoa will be playing Lobo in “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.” This is a role he’s been very passionate about for several years. We’re honestly surprised he didn’t launch his own project with the character before now. The next animated series coming to Disney+ featuring a Marvel Comics character just got it’s first trailer. “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” was created by Jeff Trammell, and stars Hudson Thames as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Eugene Byrd as Lonnie Lincoln, Grace Song as Nico Minoru, Hugh Dancy as Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus, Kari Wahlgren as May Parker, and Zeno Robinson as Harry Osborn. It’ll swing onto Disney+ January 29th, 2025.

We never thought “Happy Gilmore,” an Adam Sandler golf movie from the 90s, would get a sequel. But, we’re almost at the end of 2024, and that’s exactly what’s happening next year. “Happy Gilmore 2″ is coming to Netflix, and Sandler himself just shared the first teaser. Julie Bowen returns as Virginia Venit, and so does Christopher McDonald as Shooter McGavin. Disney’s upcoming live-action adaptation of the classic tale “Snow White” has some new songs for audiences to experience. Of of these, “Waiting on a Wish,” was given a special look earlier this morning. The song was written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul of “La La Land” fame (or infamy, depending on how you feel about that movie). Oscar nominee Rachel Zegler (“West Side Story,” “Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes“) stars as Snow White, with Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen.”Snow White” hits theaters March 21st, 2025.

We’re not sure how to tell you this, but one of the largest streaming houses out there has made a very, very strange choice. Universal Pictures has officially confirmed what film the newly knighted Sir Christopher Nolan’s next film will be. Party City, once the thriving one-stop-shop for all our celebratory needs, is gone. The company announced the closure of all stores via a meeting Friday morning. CNN reports CEO Barry Litwin told corporate employees the company is “winding down” operations immediately. It means today, Friday, December 20th, will be their last day of employment.
