It would seem Fede Álvarez’s upcoming “Alien” film for 20th Century Studios just took a big hyperjump towards cameras rolling. The proposed 7th film in the franchise will see the return of original director Ridley Scott, as a producer. Cailee Spaeny (“Devs,” “The Craft: Legacy”) is reportedly in talks to star. Álvarez, who also plans to direct, wrote the script for the project. Possible plot and story details are pretty much non existent. But, it’s likely this film will NOT have anything to do with Noah Hawley’s upcoming television series about Weyland Yutani. We’ll let you know what we hear…

Allow us to take you back to 1985. It’s a different era. One where “He-Man and the Masters of Universe” had a freaking float in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. No seriously, this thing is awesome and massive, and has to be seen to be believed. Dolph Lundgren, star of the live action “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” film, introduced the return of the float in 1986. I mean seriously. Bring this thing back. It’s awesome.

Sometimes a reboot is NOT a great idea. But sometimes a new take on something can be. We’ll admit, we had mixed feelings about a possible “Pirates of the Caribbean” reboot from Disney. The pitch, however, was pretty interesting. Instead of focusing on the Turners and a certain Captain Jack Sparrow personality, we’d meet a new face in the piratical world. And she’d be played by Oscar nominated actress Margot Robbie. In 2020, word came down that the House of Mouse was eyeing this reboot, attaching Robbie imedately. “Birds of Prey” scribe Christina Hodson was penning the script. Jerry Bruckheimer, longtime…
While you still can’t convince us he’s not some real-life Lex Luthor or James Bond villain, Jeff Bezos just did something pretty great. The former Amazon CEO just awarded American treasure and recent Rock Hall inductee Dolly Parton $100 million. In a tweet, Bezos revealed Parton is the newest recipient of the Courage and Civility award, garnering the hefty sum. She’s in good company with this, too. Van Jones and Chef José Andrés are previous awardees for their tireless work across numerous charities. We can’t think of anyone better. The 2022 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will…

We are so very sorry to share the news that the great Kevin Conroy, who was probably best known as the voice of Batman in “Batman: The Animated Series,” as passed away. This news was confirmed by “BTAS” fellow actor Diane Pershing, who voiced Poison Ivy, and DC Comics. “Very sad news: our beloved voice of Batman, Kevin Conroy, died yesterday,” Pershing posted to her Facebook. “He’s been ill for a while but he really put in a lot of time at the cons, to the joy of all of his fans. He will be sorely missed not just by…
We are delighted to share the first official trailer for the upcoming film “John Wick 4.” Considering how freaking GOOD “John Wick: Parabellum” was, our hopes are high for another Keanu Reeves and co. outing. Co starring Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane, Clancy Brown, Bill Skarsgård, Donnie Yen, and Hiroyuki Sanada, this first trailer is SUPER promising. The film is set to hit theaters March 24th, 2023.
WE ARE YELLING RIGHT NOW. Travis Fimmel, who stared as Ragnar Lothbrok in HISTORY’s “Vikings,” has joined the “Dune” universe. Fimmel, who recently starred in HBO Max’s incredible science fiction series “Raised By Wolves,” is joining “Dune: The Sisterhood.” Fimmel will play new character Desmond Hart. Shocking no one, Hart is a “charismatic soldier with an enigmatic past.” He apparently “seeks to gain the Emperor’s trust, at the expense of the Sisterhood.””Dune: The Sisterhood” will be a deep dive into the Bene Gesserit, the holy order of nuns who are at the center of much of Frank Herbert’s creation. Indira…
It shouldn’t come as a shock, but someone at Disney and Lucasfilm is apparently working on a possible “Indiana Jones” series for Disney+. This has been one of those projects we’ve been hoping for since the launch of the House of Mouse streaming service. There was of course the “Young Indiana Jones Chronicles,” which stared Sean Patrick Flannery and Corey Carrier as Indy. Variety claims exclusive knowledge of the project from “sources,” but didn’t really have anything solid to go on. We can confirm we’ve heard similar stories and rumors over the past year. “Indiana Jones 5” is currently slated…
