Author: Mary Anne Butler

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

It’s always a sad time when your favorite Not Ready for Primetime Player leaves “Saturday Night Live.” Sadder still when those leaving have been a powerhouse of the NBC long running sketch comedy series. We’re speaking of course about Kate McKinnon. She’s absolutely one of the high points of “SNL” since joining in 2012. Reports indicate she’ll be exiting in good company though, as Pete Davidson, Aidy Bryant, and Kyle Mooney are also leaving. Expect tearful goodbyes during “Saturday Night Live” season 47’s finale tomorrow night.

First, Disney+ saves “Daredevil” today. THEN, we kinda sorta hear through unofficial channels that Charlie Cox is for sure coming back. Which of course prompts us to run around the Nerdbot offices like Michael Scott in “The Office.” BUT THEN, our attention got brought to a sly photo from a “Marvel’s Defenders” alum. Yesterday, Mike Colter (“Marvel’s Luke Cage”) posted an image on Instagram with another hero- Krysten Ritter (“Marvel’s Jessica Jones”). He’s since edited the comment with it, to really tease us.This *could* just be coincidence, but, it could also mean we’ll be seeing them return as well! Hell,…

And Cox himself appearing as Murdock in “Spider-Man: No Way Home.” And as of February, we knew Cox was definitely in for something from Marvel Studios in the future.Variety first broke this news. You’d be hard-pressed to name another iconic personality as integral and historically important to a franchise as the late great Stan Lee. Not only did he absolutely shape the world of comic books, but his influence is still felt across the superhero genre in film. Having passed away in 2018 at the incredible age of 95, it’s strange to think we may be seeing him in future Marvel Studios projects. Today, Marvel Studios announced a 20-year deal to continue to use Stan Lee’s likeness and name in a variety of projects. This includes future movies, shows, VR, theme parks, and…

At long last, the sequel to “Enchanted” is coming. Filming started on “Disenchanted” in 2021, and we hadn’t heard anything about it since then. We knew most of the cast was returning, and we knew who was directing it. To be fair, that’s still kind of all we know. BUT- we do have a 2022 release date! “Disenchanted” will star Oscar winner Amy Adams as Giselle. Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, and Idina Menzel are also set to return. The film will also include Maya Rudolph, Yvette Nicole Brown, Jayma Mays, Kolton Stewart, Oscar Nuñez, and Gabby Baldacchino. Adam Shankman is directing, which means a high chance of more…
