Oscar-nominated writer/director Rian Johnson has been hard at work on the latest addition to his hit “Knives Out” franchise. The late music legend Elvis Presley’s sprawling Tennessee estate, Graceland, was involved in a bizarre multi-million dollar foreclosure scheme. In May, a Memphis newspaper published a notice saying that an unknown investment firm planned to auction off the landmark later that month. This was an understandable shock to both the singer’s fans and family. Helmer of such classics as “House of the Dead” and “BloodRayne” Boll knows a thing or two about box office flops. A24’s marketing team has struck gold yet again! A new poster for the romantic drama “We Live in Time” has gone viral… as a meme. On October 28th, “Friends” star Matthew Perry was found deceased in the hot tub of his L.A. home. At the time, it was ruled an accidental overdose, and traces of the drug ketamine were found in his system. In May, a joint drug investigation by LAPD and federal authorities into the source of the ketamine he took was launched. Peacock has just unleashed the first terrifying teaser trailer for its new series with the misleading quaint name, “Teacup.” The show is loosely based on the 1988 sci-fi novel “Stinger” by Robert McCammon. The book tells the story of the troubled small town of Inferno, Texas. Inferno is already falling apart due to racial tension, gang violence, and a collapsing economy. During the 2024 Paris Olympics, Algerian boxer Imane Khelif became the center of a bizarre conspiracy theory. Despite the athlete being born female and not identifying as transgender or intersex, a rumor began that she was a trans woman, and assigned male at birth. Even with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) asserting “scientifically, this is not a man fighting a woman.”  Khelif received a wave of harassment across social media.
