If you’ve been missing the Peanuts gang singing their animated hearts out, you’re in luck! Apple TV+ has just announced “Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical.” It will be the first musical in the long-running franchise in over three decades.

Now that’s something to dance on a piano about!

“A Summer Musical” celebrates the joy and magic of summer camp while stressing the importance of preserving what you love. Entering his final year of camp, Charlie Brown is determined to make this one special. All while Snoopy and Woodstock go on a side quest following a treasure map they’ve found.

Unfortunately, due to dwindling enrollment, the camp announced it is shutting down. That is, until Snoopy returns from his quest bearing not gold or treasure, but instruments and photos from past summer concerts held at the camp. Inspired, Charlie and the Peanuts gang use the treasure to host a concert to save the camp.

Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and friends will belt out original tunes by Emmy Award nominees Jeff Morrow and Ben Folds. The film is directed by Erik Wiese from a script by Craig Schulz, Bryan Schulz, and Cornelius Uliano.

“A Summer Musical” will mark the 75th anniversary of the Peanuts crew, and Apple TV+ will celebrate all year long with more announcements to come.

“Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical” will debut exclusively on Apple TV+, the streaming home for Peanuts, on July 18th, 2025. We’ll keep you posted on updates about the project and other anniversary news as it develops.
