We’re going to need a bigger boat game shelf. NECA is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Steven Spielberg’s “Jaws” with an updated release of “The Game of Jaws.” This new release features state-of-the-art, detailed sculpting, and paint applications on the infamous 15-inch shark. In 2009, Walt Disney Animation Studios released “The Princess and the Frog,” introducing princess Tiana. The House of Mouse is scrapping both a series and feature-length project for Disney+ centered on the character. This is all part of a larger initiative by the studio to abandon original longform streaming content. According to a company spokesman, this shift will also mean some layoffs in its Vancouver studio. “Tiana” was first announced in 2020 and was intended to be a musical with Anika Noni Rose reprising the titular role. In October 2024, twenty three statues of the beloved illustrated character Paddington Bear were installed across the UK. The permanent installations were to promote StudioCanal’s film “Paddington in Peru” before its release. One special statue of the Peruvian bear holding his favorite food, a marmalade sandwich, was installed in Newbury, the hometown of creator Michael Bond. Around 2 AM on Sunday, March 2nd, this particular statue was found stolen from the bench where it sat. Later that same day, the statue was recovered. The outlet’s estimations were gathered from interviews with agents, lawyers, managers, executives, industry experts, and data sources like IMDBPro. These figures represent pretax earnings minus 10% for agents, 10% for managers, and 5% for lawyers, which is the industry standard. After 23 years of service, digital calling pioneer Skype is shutting down on May 5th, 2025. Microsoft, which acquired the app in 2011, is jettisoning the program to allocate more resources to Teams. Discory Television over its “ER”-style medical drama “The Pitt.” Last year, Max ordered 15 episodes of the series starring Noah Wyle and created by John Wells and R. Scott Gemmill.
