Hi, I’m Ada. I like long walks in the graveyard, horror movies, comic books, and bringing you the latest in nerd-centric news.

The upcoming martial arts film is directed by Ryan Watson (“Paper Line”), from a script they co-wrote with Jerron Horton (“Forever”). “Paper Made,” is set within the Alpha Omega Sigma Fraternity at a fictional HBCU (historically Black colleges and universities). Then DoesTheDogDie.com may be just what you need. Does the Dog Die is a large repository for animal death in media, among other common triggers for people.  Launched in 2011, the website started as a community-driven platform where users could report scenes of dogs dying in media. To date, Does the Dog Die tacks 204…

Around 1897, early film pioneer and moon hater George Méliès made the movie “Gugusse and the Automaton.” Unfortunately, like many early films, it soon became lost because of poor preservation practices at the time. Due in no small part to the notoriously volatile film stock used during the 1800s. Thankfully, the long-lost 45-second film has recently been recovered by The Library of Congress. In September, a box full of about 10 rusted and heavily damaged reels was brought in by Bill McFarland. He made the trip from his home in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to the Library’s National Audio-Visual Conservation Center…

It looks like Showtime’s “Yellowjackets” is going out with a bang for its 4th and final season. It’s just been confirmed that Molly Ringwald (“One Night Only”) will be joining the cast! Ringwald will play Van’s (played by Lauren Ambrose and Liv Hewson) mom, Vicky.  It’s being reported that Vicky is a recently recovered alcoholic trying to set things right while grappling with her past. Sony has had some major hits and some serious misses with its live-action “Spider-Man” extended universe. While the “Venom” franchise did extremely well, its success was drowned out by huge flops like “Madame Web,” “Kraven the Hunter,” and “Morbius.” But shockingly, the company is looking to give it another go. During a recent interview, Tom Rothman, Sony Pictures chairman and CEO, confirmed that Sony plans for a “fresh reboot” of the “Spider-Man” extended universe. Rothman was asked, “Where are we in the Spider-Man franchise? Not the animated Spider-Verse. Is the larger Spider-Verse dead?” “No,” he told The Town with Matt…

All good things must come to an end, and apparently the same goes for the Jackass films. Series star and co-creator Johnny Knoxville has confirmed that “Jackass 5” will be the end of the franchise.  An impressive run considering it’s basically a bunch of people hurting themselves for over 25 years. The MTV reality stunt show first launched in 2000 and ran for 3 seasons, followed by (soon-to-be) 5 feature films. It stars stuntmen Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Jason “Wee Man” Acuña, Dave England, and formally Bam Margera and the late Ryan Dunn. Not to mention a revolving cast of…

Daniel Goldhaber (“Cam”) wants you to relive some of that childhood trauma with an upcoming remake of the notorious “Faces of Death.” And this meta remake of the dubious shockumentary just got its first poster. Unlike its predecessors the upcoming “Faces of Death” isn’t presenting itself as anything but fiction. It stars Barbie Ferreira (“Euphoria”) as a content moderator for a video sharing platform. But things start to take a turn when she begins to find videos seemingly re-enacting the murders seen in 1978’s “Faces of Death.” It is up to her to determine if this carnage is fact or…
