Adult animated series “South Park” is turning 25 years old. In celebration, co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone will be putting on a concert featuring performances by Primus and Ween. The concert itself is peppered with several in-jokes and references to the show’s own history. It’s being held in Colorado because Parker and Stone first met at the University of Colorado Boulder. Today marks 53 years since NASA’s Apollo 11 mission landed on the Moon. Astronaut Buzz Aldrin is auctioning off some historical artifacts from his stellar career. This sale will include a jacket he wore on the Apollo 11 mission, where Aldrin became the second man to walk on the Moon. It has a serial number of 1039, the NASA logo, and his name E. Aldrin, printed above the mission patch. The coat is made from a (at the time) newly developed fireproof material known as Beta Cloth. “Stranger Things” star Maya Hawke released an X-rated music video for her newest song, “Thérèse.” The tune will be on her second album “Moss,” which comes out on September 23rd. Brady Corbet, who also directed “Vox Lux,” and played Peter in the 2007 remake of “Funny Games,” directed the video.  The 5-minute video for “Thérèse” opens with a card saying it is “Rated X.” The majority of it focuses on Hawke and her friends having an orgy in the woods. Well “Stranger Things” has done it again! Metallica’s 1986 song “Master of Puppets” has hit No. 40 on the Billboard Hot 100. Since the July 1st premiere of the final 2 episodes of season 4, demand for “Master of Puppets” has skyrocketed. According to Luminate, daily on-demand audio streams have grown almost 400%. At least in comparison to the song’s June 2022 streaming totals. 3 men have been indicted for trying to sell stolen handwritten notes and lyrics by Don Henley, founding member of the Eagles. It’s alleged that about 100 pages of notes and lyrics for “Hotel California,” “Life in the Fast Lane,” and “New Kid in Town” were taken. All together the documents have an estimated worth of about $1 million. The men charged are Glenn Horowitz, Craig Inciardi, and Edward Kosinski. Rage Against the Machine’s covid-delayed reunion tour is finally underway. Unfortunately, during their second show at Chicago’s United Center, lead singer Zack de la Rocha appears to have injured his leg on stage.  de la Rocha became injured 4 songs into the set. Streaming giant Netflix has released “What’s In A Name,” a new speech from controversial comedian Dave Chappelle. There was no announcement or advertising before its launch.  The 40-minute speech is taken from a talk Chappelle gave at his alma mater, Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C. This talk took place in June 2022 during a planned ceremony to rename the school’s theater after the comedian. The renaming caused an uproar among students because of transphobic comments made by Chappelle in his 2021 Netflix stand-up special, “The Closer.” The students contended he was ignoring the requests of the LGBTQ…
