Korn frontman Jonathan Davis is launching a line of pet products called Freak on a Leash, fittingly named after one of the nu-metal pioneers’ biggest hits. Davis describes the line as a premium products are created for all, paying homage to the horror and rock music we love. Mattel is dropping a huge line of new Monster High dolls in anticipation of Nickelodeon’s upcoming series. The toy giant first introduced Monster High back in 2010. The entire toy line centers around the children of famous mythical creatures who attend Monster High together in the fictional town of New Salem. Each monster is distinctly different to foster themes of inclusivity, and loving yourself for who you are. Netflix just released the first trailer for the “Teletubbies” reboot starring Tituss Burgess (“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”). The “Teletubbies” were originally a British children’s television series created by Anne Wood and Andrew Davenport for the BBC. It focused on four brightly colored characters- Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa, and Po. Though they were made to look a bit like toddlers, all four have uniquely shaped antennae sticking out of their heads and TVs in their stomachs. Fox’s long-running animated TV show “The Simpsons” will feature a crossover with another Fox cartoon, “Bob’s Burgers.” Treehouse of Horror has become a fall staple since it’s first airing during “The Simpsons” season 2, episode 3 in 1990. These particular episodes break away from the show’s typical narrative format and are told as anthologies. These often spookify the show’s opening sequences with horror imagery and altered credits for the show creators. For example writer, James L. Bullicio Puppets is a death metal act out of Chile that gives kids a high-energy environment to rock out to some heavier jams. The band is fronted by Jack Distortion, a felt metalhead that sports a battle jacket, red dreadlocks, and a plastic guitar. Martin Scorsese will executive produce and direct the first two episodes of Miramax Television’s “Gangs of New York” series. The Oscar winner also directed the 2002 film adaptation of Herbert Asbury’s 1927 book of the same name.  Asbury’s “Gangs of New York” is a non-fiction novel that documents the confrontations between rival gangs in the mid-to-late-1800s. This period ended when the Italian-American mafia came to prominence in the 1920s during Prohibition. That era is the basis for HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire,” which Scorsese also executive produced. Toy company Mattel is celebrating music legend Tina Turner with a new Barbie doll! This doll is part of the Barbie Signature Music Series, which includes other tail-blazing artists like Gloria Estefan and David Bowie. The Queen of Rock ‘n Roll is the fifth artist to be inducted into the line but the sixth doll overall. Just in time for the song’s 40th anniversary, this pint-sized Turner is modeled after Turner’s iconic “What’s Love Got to Do With It” music video.
